I just want to know what are the production costs to make DVDs and Blue Ray discs.
I figured that are the modeling fees, location fees, makeup fees, catering (?) fees, editing, disc authoring, insert artwork and the disc copying fees. Did I missed anything?

You forgot your lawyer.
Are you planning on keeping your own records? If not then add paying a custodian of records, who might also be your lawyer. Also, somebody has to clean up the place after the shoot is over.
It isn't a cost, but there is probably a lag between when you ship product to a retailer and when you actually get paid for it, so take that into consideration.

So, how much would the recordkeeping fees be for like 5 scenes (10 people)?

I don't do that, so I have no idea. However, I expect the retainer to be a significant expense. Bear in mind that the record keeper is providing a permanent address for subpoena of records pertaining to any of your movies, along with storage of those records.

^So when you say significant, do you mean like $100 or $300 fee per recordkeeping of each performer?

I'm sorry but, again, I have no idea.

You also forgot the film crew. Camera, lighting, sound...that sort of thing. Even if one multi-skilled guy handles it all, it still costs money.

^That makes sense. So hypotheticaly, how much would it cost to produce a low-budget, medium-budget (average gonzo) and upscale gonzo DVDs or BlueRays?

^I don't know. This topic was discussed earlier, and by the time all the experts weighed in, it (IMO) boiled down to "If you have to ask, you can't afford it".

You can spend as much or as little as you want. You can author DVDs yourself on a laptop computer. There's no magic to it. You probably already know how to burn DVDs yourself. You've already looked at lighting, why not jump in and make a video and sell it or publish it yourself. There are a number of ADT members that have done it. Go for it.....it's easier than you think, but it does require some work.

^What about distribution and marketing? I figured that the porn producers sell their videos to porno companies that sell the discs to shops and webstores and then they cut a % of the sales to the porn producers.
