That might be true at some companies, but then again, those executive assistants that have real clout usually have advanced degrees and are are much older. I'm sure the porn girl claiming to be an executive assistant, has neither the degree and/or the experience to be anything other than an office decoration.

So an executive assistant is a glorified waitress. You can also consider an airline pilot a glorified bus driver. Personally I don't think its ok to belittle someone down based on a stereotype. I didn't invite performers to participate in this thread only to be called liars or put on the defensive. They probably get enough of that from the mainstream. Any time a job title has the word assistant tacked on to it it should send up a red flag. Remember on a movie set the person in charge of making coffee is called a production assistant.
A job is a job. I have respect for any able bodied person that works. We all can't live off welfare. That's not the case here. Executive assistant for senior executives are sought after jobs. They can help make or break the executive they are serving. We spew assumptions that people in porn weren't qualified to do anything else or are in someway mentally defective. I'd like to believe most do it because they enjoy it.

Interesting assumption you are making? Now first, I am not claiming to be an executive assistant... I was an executive assistant. I am a "porn girl" that went back to college to get my license in marriage and family therapy. So no, I do not have a degree just yet, just 4yrs of college and a goal. As for being an "office decoration", you would have to ask my former boss. I am sure she can answer that for you. But then again according to your assumption, she was probably just an "office decoration" as well.

Blowfish, you really need to learn to read. At no point did I say an Executive Asst is a gloried waitress or belittled anyone. But anybody who's worked in an office environment knows that there are basically 3 types of EA's. First there is the type of Executive Asst that is mentioned above. The person has an advanced degree, numerous years of experience in that particular field, and has considerable clout/proxy/decision making authority and is the right hand person for the head of the dept. The second type of EA is more along the lines of an Office Manager/Gate Keeper for the Dept Head. Managing the staff etc, and can make some decisions about immediate support staff for the dept. Lastly, there is the Office Decoration type of EA. This type of EA is usually the cute girl of 21 that the middle aged dept head hires so he can flirt with her and the like. This girl answers the phone, and does mostly receptionist type of chores and the most decision making authority she has is to order more copier paper when the supply is getting low. Any porn girl(and yes there will be exceptions to every rule, but I really don't thing a porn girl of 21 can claim to be the exception) that had a previous profession as Executive Asst. is going to be listed in the last category. She does the gig for 6 months and leaves because she gets tired of the leering boss who gives her grief for coming into the office late every day and not letting her do her nails at her desk. She then goes into porn and becomes a porn star, because she is lazy and is going for the quick buck. Categorizing EA's is no different that categorizing so called Porn Stars. As with EAs there are 3 types of Porn Stars. First, there is the girl who calls herself a "porn star" because she's been in approximately 6 releases. No box covers, just the girl who is listed last in the credits. This is the 21 year old Office Decoration EA. No names given as examples, as I don't want to hurt any feelings and/or chastised for being rude. Secondly, there is the "porn Star" who is more like a reliable performer, she knocks out a 150 titles over the course of 2 years, and while she may be on a few box covers, she is always second banana to the main star. This would be equivalent to the 2nd category of EA listed above. Finally, we have the actual "Porn Star" who are actual "Stars" in the porn world. Box covers, names above the title, able to call her own shots, millions of drooling fans. Names not needed as one is getting chastised for claiming to be a nurse. This would be the equivalent to the type of EA who I mentioned first.
And you know Ryderskye was the office bimbo based on -- what???? You do not have any basis to judge whether or not she was a highly effective VP's executive assistant. She now fucks for a living therefore she's couldn't possibly handle the demands of the job and couldn't possibly be anything more than eye candy? Sounds like a straw man fallacy to me. I also reject your simplified classifications of executive assistants. The requirements for EA are often unique to the industry and individuals they service. I don't know where you got your expertise but I got mine from "Ugly Betty" season 1.

MMMM, Let me see; she is, what all of 24-25ish. Kind of fits into the last category that I mentioned. EA's at the age of 22 aren't highly powered, unless of course they graduated Harvard, then they would have a title as an EA, but thier job responsibilites would be closer to the first category I listed. If she was highly effective, me thinks that the person she was working for would have kept her. And if you really wanted to split hairs, yes each industry has it's very own minute specifics, but overall, I'm right on, and that comes from experience, not Ugly Betty.
Were I to have guessed I would have guessed that Rocco Siffredi was a camel trainer (hence all of the spitting tricks) and Chessie Moore might have been a veterinary nurse (woof woof!)

I think you are directing your comments to the wrong person. If you are going to put me down, please have the courtesy to acknowledge my presence on this thread. Now... just to clear things up, I am 25. I quit my job (did not get let go as you assume) to pursue and career in porn and finish my degree. If you did a little more research you would have noticed that I have only been doing this for 9 months (only 6 releases so far, 70 scenes total). I quit my assistant job 6 months ago. I guess working as an assistant for 5yrs doesn't qualify for any promotions that would give me stature at a company. Just for the record, I started as a receptionist (no degree needed) then was promoted 3 times from there. Oh, and by the way, if you are trying to come from an intelligent point of view... you might want to start by using spell check.

That kind of goes back to a thread that got discontinued a few weeks ago about guys posting in the hopes of a Porn Star responding them. A guy posts, the star responds, someone bad mouths the star, a guy comes to her rescue, the star thanks him for coming to the rescue, the guy then thanks the star for thanking him. Telling someone to use spell check as a put down. OOOH, good one. I did use spell check. Maybe I did miss a word. I sometimes multi-task. I did check on Rame and noticed that there were only 6 titles released. They usually don't list number of scenes completed, only released. I never implied that you go fired, I said quit under my initial category. But, I'm not going to get into a pissing match over my original classifications of EA's and the resulting comparisons to the different levels of "Porn Stars." Ryder, I apologize if you felt I was attacking you personally, that wasn't the intent, it just kind of worked it's way in there.
