It takes us a bit of time to set up the EDI and whatnot, so if a vendor approaches us, it usually means they have an idea of who we are and what we do and are motivated to get themselves listed. That's not always the case and some vendors go away after the initial "this is what we need from you" email. [Link]

This is a big step for us, branching out to non-US stores, so we're not sure how to handle it. Orgazmik gives us their prices in Euros, and we list all our prices in USD. So, where do we put it? Do we do a USD/Euro conversion? Do we list them seperately? Do we give you the option to hide US or Non-US vendors? It's not like I have a market research staff at my beck and call to research these things, so what do you think? [Link]

I don't have preferences over the euro or dollar as I can get a general idea by looking at Euros but others may feel differently. What I have been really hoping for is a way to find a lot of those Euro features that heretofore have had no providers listed. I'm not that picky just want some easy options rather than having to search all over the place for a title. By the way, I really appreciate your attentiveness to this. I hope it only makes the great service IAFD provides better ! [Link]

My personal opinion is that it might be the best to publish the prices in Euro--at the end this is what we charge the client. Posting converted prices in US dollars might help american clients to get a reference price, however it will never be the exact price that one will find on the card statement. And not to forget, I believe not only american people use the IAFD, also others that might be more familiar with Euro prices. One can see on ADT how it looks, we give them a converted USD price for the price search. Other european vendors might use a different conversion rate with the result that a 20 Euro movie is being listed once for 24 dollars, once for 26 or even 28 dollars. At the moment we supply ADT with the dollar price pased on our internal exchange rate (the rate somebody pays if he switches the currency on our site to USD), which is not necessarily the same rate somebody in the US would pay if he uses his creditcard to pay in Euros, then he pays the exchange rate of his own bank. So those rates are all over the place indeed. I wouldn't mind listing prices here or on IAFD in Euros, makes sense to me. Jacco [Link]

I'm not trying to be a dick here, but the last email I got was on 06 Sept 10 from Scott @ Your Choice where he said "I heading away on vacation for a couple of weeks. That said... Jacco is going to mail you this week, probably with some more questions and such. Just wanted to give you a heads up." The email this was in response to was with our EDI needs - data formatting etc. YourChoice has all our info. I'm waiting for a URL that I can download the price search data from.
