I am getting my Ps3 soon and want you to give me tips about games that most people might not play but should.
I am getting WWE 12 with it and want to get LA Noire in the future.
But any other games you can recomend?

The Uncharted series.
Bioshock 1 and 2
Batman Arkham City/Arkham Asylum
Red Dead Redemption
Demon Souls/Dark Souls (NOTE: YOU WILL DIE A LOT)
God of War III (they have the PS2 games GoW and GoW 2 in an HD collection for PS3 to catch up to the story)
that covers a lot of the good shit.

Dread- That's really mean telling a PS3 noob to get Demon's Souls. He's going to launch his controller out of his window before he even gets a good feel for things. In all seriousness, great game if you have the patience and enjoy a real challenge.
Right now everyone seems to be loving Skyrim although I haven't played it yet so I can't comment.
Portal 1 and 2.
I hear Heavy Rain was really interesting if you're in to that sort of thing. I'll be grabbing it for $20 used at some point.
From the PSN I hear a ton of good stuff about Braid and Pixel Junk Shooters but I haven't played either.
And most importantly get your FyreTV Blu-ray when we release it shortly to get 15,000+ XXX movies right on your PS3 (you guys didn't think I was going to skip a chance to plug, did you?).
Also, download PS3 Media Server. It's a free software program for your computer that will let you stream music/movies/etc you have stored on your computer right to your PS3. Also comes with a ton of streaming radio stations. Very user friendly, I don't understand any of the options or controls but it just works.

The InFamous series are kick ass! I'd say start with the first then move on to the second. Also the Assasins Creed series is good too! I really enjoy the Call of Duty series and Battlefield 2 Bad Company and Battlefield 3. And yes the Batman games are bad ass!!

Hence the bold YOU WILL DIE A LOT. LOL. At least he knows, though I will say that i was tempted to kick my TV over playing Demon/Dark Souls once or twice.

probably Bioshock 1 and 2. They're long and the story told in the game is unique and quite excellent.
The military shooters are short and highly scripted. Though if you like feeling you're in a Michael Bay summer army action movie or something then you'll like them.

totally forgot about Killzone 3. Another good one. Reminds me also that the Resistance series are another good FPS series with good singleplayer.

I personally could not stand Killzone 2 because the aiming/movement felt way too sluggish and clunky.
However, I could tolerate the Killzone 3 beta.

^ the Devs intentionally gave the game a heavy feel. That was a design choice that i believe they did away with in KZ 3, but i haven't played KZ 3 so i can't answer specifically. I agree though, the movement and the weight feel was cool at first, but in multiplayer it became annoying after a while and it turned me off.
The single player story shines though if you can deal with the movement.
