yes, i met cassidey before vivid actually. we have a lot a mutual friends, so we got to know each other quickly. the show is so disappointing. it was my breaking point with vivid. i just wanted no part of it.
no cassidey didn't quit. she is all over the place for signings and stuff. i haven't seen most of the show, so i can't say. she did mention somethings about it to me though. whatever sells...as long as the fans are happy :)

Stefani, if you do come back to make more movies, would you consider cutting your hair short or shorter like it was in Star? That was a great look for you!

It'd be cool to see that happen. Vivid missed the boat by not putting the two of you (the most naturally beautiful of the ladies in my opinion) together in a scene.

Did anyone else find much of the Showtime series heavily staged? Almost everytime Steven spoke or had a phone call or anything, it seemed like he was reading from a script! Especially during the alst episode when he shows up to PT's set because Savannah showed up.
Also, Stefani, who is the faceless cheerleader model they use on the show to cut between scenes. Is that you?
lol i was waiting for this...i laughed at the whole thing...the show was done very well, i think. however, almost all of my stuff is true, but not true. like something would be taken out from the middle of a sentence. i actually did watch it last night. here's the thing, in the beginning i was asked this is hopefully going to shoot you guys more mainstream, i said any of us can do that some may want it more, and i'd love to. and it got carried away lol. i mean ya, i'd love to make my mark and do something big, and porn doesn't give you as much variety as mainstream, so yes i would be happy doing a movie or to. but that doesn't mean i'd stop making porn! i never planned on porn as a stepping stone. and yes, i have friends that love the idea of a pornstar doing a serious movie, and wanna help and such but people....i make porn movies....I'M NOT A PORNSTAR YET! my career is still crawling, i think if a newby does something like that, it's not as big so many people can say "well she only did a couple movies, so it's ok"...i wanna get big, then piss people off :) lol you can tell when i'm irritated or completely not interested in taping on the show, i'm saying, "you know what, um so i mean um" obviously, i'm very articulate!

Heh, I'm gonna do this as one big reply since Stefani's posted a couple of things and replying to each one is overdone. :-)
First of all, you say you're not a Pornstar. You would hear me disagree. Only in the sense that being a part of Vivid (And Wicked, and probably DP) automatically puts you at a higher level than most other girls. And that counts after you leave the companies as well because the "former" title you get to then use. I always thought it went Porn actress, porn star, and porn icon myself. And in my eyes you're solidly at #2. (And I doubt anyone here's gonna disagree as long as you keep posting. )
But, as we've discussed before, post editing loves to make you a different character. Like you said, everything you said on there came from your mouth. LOL when it was said is another story.
Now as to what you said about how you handle men. I don't think other guys have a problem with it per se, (or at least I don't) I think it just depends on what guys you meet when.
LOL like the kind of guys you'd want to normally meet are showing up while you're in a "men are objects" period and therefore you're treating them that way and they don't know how to handle it. And then if you're in a "really want to find a long term guy" phase here comes the OTHER guys. LOL or is that just happening in my life?
And now for my next question, how close (or far) to the mark was PT in his statements about how you and Monique reacted when Savanna showed up and did her scene with you two? Do you think there's definitely a difference in someone coming in to do their first scene compared to someone who's been filming a few days already?
lol god, um the comment when i was talking about killing myself during the scene, is true...there was soo much press on some days, that was one of them...normally there are not unnecessary people on the set during a scene. there were camera crews for the movie, the show and photographers and others...everyone was talking, it was slower because of the show, and it was fucking hot as hell..no pun intended :) and this happened with my scene with derrick pierce as well, i felt that all lot of people were trying too hard to cause chaos during the movie, and i think that showed overall. p.t. never directs sex like he did for debbie. i am surprised i didn't flip on camera, i really am. i absolutely love savannah, in fact we were the first 2 girls there that day for makeup, happy as can be, i haven't had the chance to really get to know her that well, but i adore what i do know of her, and was so excited for her to be in it. my irritation was the show in hell, like the stage part, i felt it was pushing too far...like p.t. wanted me to say "look, isn't that mrs. jones?" i almost hit him. my concern wasn't savannah it was other things. i was a lil upset when i saw that cause savannah is one of my favs.

Wow, what an interesting thread! I’m totally addicted. Ms. Morgan, while we have your attention, I do have a couple questions that I would like to get your opinion on:
1) Since JJ did her two hour E! special about 3 or 4 years ago, she said something that I've been wondering about for a long time. When she mentioned that her CJ/Vivid contract called upon her to do 15 scenes, she spoke of it as if she was attending 15 funerals. Also, in her blog, Asia Carrera frequently talked about how much she dreaded leaving her house on the day of a shoot. It seems to be apparent that doing porn wears one out both physically and mentally. Based on your experience is this impression of being a pornstar on or off the mark? Was making DDA the breaking point for you? (If this Q is out of bounds, just please ignore it)
2) On a lighter note did Savanna Samson serve her wine to you and your costars? Was it good?
PS. No matter how many bj’s, facials, anals etc…one does or hours of porn one watches no human being is an object. Having just watched the final episode of Showtime's "Debbie Does Dallas, Again" series on TiVo, and now having seen every installment, I have the following comments.
Best Quotes of the Series:
Monique Alexander, on the relationship between the contract girls: "It's like high school...but a million times worst."
Sunny Leone, on not doing b/g sex: "The less you do, the more you get paid."
Stefani Morgan, in response to her non-porn girlfriend who has suggested that maybe Stefani should date male performers because they will be less judgmental about her career: "Ugh!"
Steve Hirsch, on the after-life of porn girls: "It either ends well, or very, very bad."
Bad Girl Who Wins:
Cassidy. She's late on the set, or doesn't show up at all--making everyone else wait for her, and costing money. She gives a lackluster sex performance on a non-Debbie shoot for PT. When called in for a dressing down by Steve Hirsch, she refuses to back-down, or accept responsibility. Still, she gets to be in both "Debbie" movies (starring in the alt. version), and because she performs well in one sex scene in the "alt" version, all is forgiven, and she remains under contract.
Good Girl Who Loses:
Monique Alexander. Although she is IMO the Perfect Debbie, she doesn't get the role based on "logic" too convoluted for me to understand. Monique gets publicly berated by Paul Thomas (who did not confront Cassidy about her poor work) for not being into a sex scene--which is being shot in a graveyard, and is clearly freaking her out. Plus, after a long day at a recording studio (that Cassidy blew off, and caused everyone else to reschedule) Monique gets a last minute call from Vivid to go to the "alt. Debbie"to do a gir/girl/girl scene. Which she does.
Reason Why Vivid Loves Savanna Samson:
Doing the final orgy scene ChristianXXX, working with Stefani Morgan, couldn't produce the money-shot. After all the other male performers (Evan Stone, Jerry?) had cum, PT called for a break to let ChristianXXX try to focus--to no avail. Finally, Savanna Samson who had already gotten one male performer off in the scene went over to ChristianXXX and got him off, too!
The Verdict on Paul Thomas:
As comedian George Carlin would say: "The 1960s must have been good to you." PT seems "out there" mentally. His though processes are fragmented at best. He wants to make Debbie Does Dallas in Europe. He has a hard time focusing on choosing a Star, or getting his movie made. Making "Debbie" a rip-off of the mainstream "Heaven Can Wait" turns into an extension of his last big success, "The Devil & Miss Jones." Mostly, PT seems to constantly "mis-read" or is indifferent to what's going on around him: the emotions of the girls or what to do to get good performances out of them. His statement: "Fuck the bitches" is not just his frustration with a difficult day but I suspect his true feeling about his highly-paid female performers.
The Epilogue at the end of the Showtime series said PT will shoot a dozen sexvids for Vivid in 2007. IMO he needs to shoot less, and re-charge his batteries. Although PT may be the most awarded director in porn history, and has done excellent feature work in the past, much of his recent product (can you say "Emperor") have been disasters for the performers on the set as well as the finished product, because he has lost his perspective.
The Verdict on Eon McKai & "alt.porn":
I wouldn't pay 2-cents for any product from McKai, and "alt. porn" seems to me just another way of saying "low budget and no talent" behind the camera. With the exception of Charlotte Stokley, I found none of the alt.porn performers attractive, and the sex was un-realistic, un-sanitary, and un-exciting. Clearly Steve Hirsch is impressed, from a business POV, with McKai's ability to produce cheap porn, that Hirsch can sell for greater profit margins to a (Vivid) customer-base that expects a level of "quality" from Vivid--that won't be present in alt. porn product.
The Verdict on the Showtime Series:
Staged reality. Vivid is trying to promote their company to the mainstream audience that watches Showtime, and Showtime is attempting to give their viewers a glimpse into the cloistered world of porn. The staging of events (and re-creation of emotions) renders much of these efforts false. Also, since Vivid produced the series, "objectivity" is questionable.
For Vivid, the Showtime series continues their "alternate universe" view of reality. Another example: Vivid displays on their website still photos of "posed" action from the set of their sexvids, that gives the impression to viewers these actions or poses will be in the videos. Often they are not, yet customers may purchase the videos based on this "false reality."
I guess the final verdict is: this series is as "real" as the sex on a porn shoot.

i worked with a guy named marco in that. no marty that i recall ever. and i have not watched the whole movie yet, i've attempted about three times. :) to be honest when i was able to watch all the shows prior and the movie, i wwas still so disappointed, so anything that bothered me made me not interested. i just think it's too much sometimes.

Stefani does Vivid still ask you to shoot movies? Or have they just left it when your ready to comeback give them a call?
my contract is "paused", so if i choose to go back i finish my contract with them. i'm exploring options. now that debbie is blowing over, i'm open to come back.

Thanks for the correction about ChristianXXX. The narration of the last Showtime reality show did say it was you working with him, though. And the group scene, of 3 guys/3 girls, did show you next to ChristianXXX, so I was going by that.
Regarding "girlfriend," again I'm just going by how the girl in the episode was "labeled." Both of you were in a park and discussing the changes that would happen in your life if "Debbie Does Dallas, Again" is a big hit. I don't believe the Showtime series (and certainly not me) was suggesting that you had an intimate relationship with the girl. Just that you were friends.
Still there may be lots to be desired in the area of "reality" in the Showtime series.
That's one heck of a spirit Stefani. It makes me smile to read your previous tell. Why did you pause on Vivid though? I don't believe they strained you too much.. you sound strong and dedicated to handle most of the pressure already. Was it that the quality failed your expectations? Your love life getting in the way? Maybe the future troubling you? I'm only making guesses here, forget the question if it's too personal.
it's business, i wasn't happy. and i will make things work for me. lives too short. i left mainstream so i could be free and be me, and i felt like vivid sold me out. ddd was suppose to be big for me and they just fucked it up. and it doesn't matter, the company gets more audience, the current girls fall, they replace them. they try to sell you on the show saying this will make your career, etc. ::cough cough:: i may fuck for a living, but i have a brain :) i had several business and personal reasons for leaving. and now that things are ending i'm thinknig about coming back. i know what works for me, if they think i'm so special, then they should let me be me :) call me a brat, but i'm a fuckin princess, i don't settle lol
