Don't you just hate it when companies put the wrong Running Time on the boxcover, I mean I don't mind if the movie is a couple of minutes shorter but I bought "The Violation of Briana Banks" and on the boxcover it says 90 minutes but the movie is actually 70 minutes long which is way too short, especially for a great lesbian gangbang. I think 20 minutes is a very big difference.

I always check out the Running Time of movies before I buy them but what good is that if that info is not correct? JM Productions is still one of my favorite company but I think they should improve on this issue and make longer movies. All movies should be at least 90 minutes long, 140 minutes is of course a lot better but I would rather see quality instead of quantity.

Something I've noticed with gay titles is that they include all the advertising for sex web sites and phone line with the running time. I don't think that is fair either.

Maybe if someone filed suit for fraud things would change a bit for the better. Doesn't false advertising constitute fraud? Good luck! Sadly, I doubt the FTC would be interested in assisting in the fight.

On a 4 DVD set of Peter North scenes from Caballero (sp?) just released, the box the DVDs come in state "2 hours each". You take out the individual DVD's and each cover clearly says "90 minutes each"....

Yeah, that annoys me too. I bought a classics compilation called SplatterHouse #1 that was advertised on the box as 4 hours long, but it was barely over 2 hours.

I'm kind of curious about how Private comes up with their running times too ... they're consistently short from the advertised running times - pretty much my only complaint about their stuff.

Most companies can't get the spelling of the cast (and sometimes the title) of the movie correct. You expect them to be able to get the running time correct? that would indicate that they really care. The ones that actually care (and print the running time) have it correct to the minute. The others seem to just print the same running time on every title (maybe it's the running time of the blank tape stock that they use).

BTW, I agree with you.

Studios that advertise higher run times than what actually is, probably take into account extras (or the not so extra, rather annoying, sex ads).

Bill: Most companies can't get the spelling of the cast... correct.

That ones worse in my opinion.

Isn't their a law or something against false advertisment because in my opinion putting the wrong running time on boxcovers is false advertisement especially to people who buy movies based on the running time.

well, isn't everybody who buys a porn flick based on the running time put on the cover kinda asking to get fucked over? har har. make sure you buy a flick with a performance you simply can't live without so the running time ain't all that important anymore i guess.
