I just recently purchased 3 DVDs from ADE! Order went great, shipping was great, experience was great. I ordered UPS 2nd day, and sure enough, it came 2 days later.

The three DVDs are Stacy Valentine DVDs. Red Vibe Diaries 3, A Little Piece of My Heart, and House of 7 Sins. Yeah, I'm a big Stacy Valentine fan. Two of the DVDs, RVD 3 and Little Piece of My Heart are great. Good picture quality and sound, and the bonus materials were on the disc that were supposed to be. They even have animated menus.

However, we come to House of 7 Sins. Picture quality was not good for a DVD. In fact, it looked like it was a DVD burnt from a VHS tape. There was even a 2 second spot where green/white lines appeared as if the tape they were recording from hit a dirty spot on the tape, assuming this is the case. The DVD case and the coverart looked like a factory job, even though I know this isn't hard to replicate. But there were no extras on the disc either. The case said there was some sort of game, photo gallery, and slide show. But it wasn't.

My question is this. Was this a burned DVD-R and not a factory copy? Is that possible, or is it even common with porn DVDs? Or is it just a shitty DVD by Metro? I was just curious because I've never shopped online before, only in stores in Atlanta. Should I send the DVD back? I paid $14 dollars for it.

Thanks for any suggestions!

First, since House of 7 Sins was released by Digital Playground, I'm pretty certain it's not a shitty DVD by Metro.

Second, did you contact ADE about this problem? If there is a problem with the replication on the title, I'm sure they'd like to know about it to hopefully avoid problems with future customers in case they have a ton of them in their warehouse.

Third, yes, some of DP's old discs left a fair bit to be desired, and that sounds fairly similar to what I saw in some of their old and cheap DVDs. I'm not sure, but I might have that one in the Porn Vault. If I find it, I'll check it out.

If you read Diesel's as always excellent review of the DVD in question, he comments on most of the problems you mention.

Okay, thanks for the reply astroknight. Much appreciated! I'll check the review.

I'm no terribly familiar with porn DVDs. I started renting them from Insurrection and Starship in Atlanta, although I live a bit too far from those stores for my tastes, and have racked up quite a few late fees. Might have to try XRentDVD!

YIKES! You're right! It is the other two that are Metro titles.

Not a problem.
Although XRent is a decent company, you might be better off going with Bush for your location and the cost difference between them. There's a couple threads you can check on that right now, such as the thread on Rental Stores where plenty of XRent and Bush renters chime in on shipping times for both companies and their location.
