The company that porn star #1 is shooting for that day sees the other porn star, who they think is hot as hell, and they want her to shoot a separate b/g scene for them right then and there after the scheduled shoot with porn star #1 wraps up. This scene will be up on the website and on DVDs, so it won't be a secret. What is the protocol here? Assuming the girl has an agent, is it her duty to let them know in advance that she got an offer of $______ to do a scene, like... right now? Is it expected of her to tell them that they have to call her agent first? Or does she say 'fuck it' and keep all of the money for herself, taking the chance that they won't find out? Thanks. Not doing so would probably get her in to some serious trouble with said agent/agency. Performers usually wind up the loser in those type of conflicts. Aside from the obvious reason that not contacting her agent will be a bad business decision. She may need to do so to get her test results since she needs a valid STI test to shoot porn. She will also need her agent/agency to negotiate the rate since the agent/agency get at least a 10% fee and they will want to ask for the most money they can for their client and themselves. A more likely scenario could be that a booked performer gets on set and the producer asks her to shoot two scenes instead of one or asks her to shoot something a little different than what was negotiated with her agent/agency. She wouldn't need to contact her agent/agency for her valid STI test because she would have it with her but not contacting her agent/agency would have the same effect as if it was another performer because they would hear about it and retaliate rather quickly and as I stated above the performers usually wind up the losers. I'm not sure the kind of contract performers sign but I imagine there are clause discussing the consequences of self-booking to avoid paying the 10% fee. [Link] |
