Can anyone confirm if this title is region locked?

The cover claims no regional coding but I've tried playing it on two different systems and they both say it's Region 1 USA/Canada.

Just wondering.

Some strange things can happen when a DVD is mastered. One of my Private DVDs will play in my NTSC DVD player, but tries to tell my DVD Rom drive that it is European region coded (I'm sorry, I forgot which DVD).

I'm not sure I understand Speelie.

Are you suggesting the DVD is unlocked but mastered in such a way as to appear Region 1 coded

When this DVD was first made, the authorer did make a mistake and they made it Region 1.

We made a new version that has no region coding, and that is the one that we sell to OUR foreign customer companies.

However, many thousands of copies were originally made with Region 1 that were perfectly fine for the US/Canada, and we chose to still sell them here in North America.

To try to answer your question, if you bought this DVD from a US company, there is a chance that it is one of the original copies with region 1.

I don't really understand how all this works, I just know that I can play a certain DVD in my NTSC Region 1 American DVD player. When I put that DVD into my DVD Rom drive, it brings up a message saying I must change my drive to Region 2 to be able to play the DVD. I chose not to change the region, and therefore not to play the DVD in my computer.

Thanks for responding with that information Tricia. It's not a problem really, I was just curious. (On a side note, you've probably heard of this already, but there appears to be a playback problem with chapters 33 & 34 of Flesh Hunter 2 . Great DVD otherwise.)

I see your point Speelie. Most perplexing

GM, I have a couple of multi-region players but my ROM only has a few changes left before it's locked.
