I just watched Hot Rackets and was surprised that there's no climactic sex scene for top-billed star Candida Royalle. If you haven't seen it, it's a standard late 70s spoof about a married couple whose sex life is non-existent because the wife is a bit prudish. She gets over this problem by getting busy with several of the members of her husband's private tennis club, and their marriage is saved at the end. But Royalle's character doesn't participate in the climactic orgy, and the movie freeze frames & goes to credits right as she's about to show hubby how horny & uninhibited she's become. Ordinarily, I'd chalk this up to scheduling or budget, or both - Royalle came in, shot a few scenes, but was unavailable to film a fuck for the finale. But looking at the film's IMDB entry, I was surprised to see that her name is not listed in the credits there at all! Hot Rackets IMDB That got me wondering if she had some issue with the film or someone involved in it. Anyone know any inside scoop on this? [Link] |
