I wanna buy several movies from NS/DS but concerned that the same scenes may be in different movies under different compilation titles. For example: their contract star Ashlynn Brooke appears in nearly all of their compilation DVDs. Chances are that I buy 2 different compilation DVDs to find they have the same Ashlynn Brooke scene which would be an absolute waste of money. Anyone's bought from NS/DS, please let me know. Even a direct answer from the folks at NS/DS would be most appreciated. Cheers

I know that if there are two girls in a scene, and both girls work for NS/DS enough to merit their own I Love title, then that one scene with both of them will be included in both compilations. I'd also say that if a girl has her own I Love comp, and is also listed in the cast for I Love asians/latinas/blondes/teens/whatever, there is a good chance that her scene in the I Love a theme comp will also be in her I Love a particular girl comp.

Multiple Dates of Production = New Release
One Date of Production = Compilation
Dunno if this is the case for NS/DS but I know that's how some studios do it. That's what some retailers told me. Never really checked it out across the board.

^That definitely does not hold true across the board. I hear that 2257 actually does not specify what "production" as in "date of production" refers to. I would guess that most companies interpret it as the dates when filming actually occurred, which makes the most sense to me. But JJV seems to interpret it as a later step in editing or authoring, since their DVDs will have only one date listed, that is only weeks before the DVD streets. And I hate to admit that I used to get 4 hour comps from Vivid or Wicked before I knew better, but I just looked at some of them and they have a bunch of dates listed.
But I definitely hated that about Vivid comps, when they'd put the same scenes on similarly themed comps. If they want to put out a new comp for one of their present or past contract stars, fine, but they should use 20 scenes that weren't on her prior comps. The same idea holds true for comps based on themes rather than girls.

About the dates of production thing: it is often true what nateglass said, but not always.
There are titles with all new scenes that will have multiple dates on the back cover, because the scenes were filmed on different days. But the scenes are still new and have never been seen before that DVD. Example: Naughty Colleg School Girls 52
And then there are titles with only one date of production on the back, but the scenes were filmed at all different times (sometimes years apart). Example: Delectable Desires. Notice that it says on the back cover "produced on 02/02/2008", but Tina's scene was filmed in 2005! (I asked her about it.)
So, it's kinda tricky.
As far as the OP's question goes, your best bet is probably to check reviews before you purchase the compilations, to see if they say anything about which flicks the scenes came from, and what other comps they might appear in. Whether it's the reviews here at ADT, or rogreviews.com (Roger T. Pipe's site), or cavr.com (Den's review page), or the review page at xcritic.com or gramponante.com, or wherever else. The info's usually out there, you just have to find it.
Good luck, and I hope you don't buy the same scene twice!

Thanks guys. Just like Vivid and Wicked, NS/DS churn out massive comps that you gotta assume that same scenes are featured in more than one comp movie.

No, NS/DS I Love comps don't have 20 scenes, and they don't deliberately aim to be 4 hours long.
Just get the I Love comps devoted to the specific girls that you like, and you should be fine. If two of the girls you like were in a scene together for NS/DS, then that scene will be in both girl's I Love title, but that's a very understandable duplication.

I wish it were that simple. Truth is not every girl (eg Michelle Maylene) has an 'I Love' DVD out even though she's shot enough scenes with NS/DS to warrant an 'I Love Michelle' compilation disc. On the other hand not all of those girls with an 'I Love' compilation disc to their name has all her scenes on it.
@Killbillviol69 - I've resorted to checking each individual scene on a compilation disc using aebn.net scene check before I buy it. Although time consuming, I find this more reliable than anything else.
I wish porn companies would take direct requests from cutomers and burn only their requested scenes onto a DVD rather than put out comps that contain scenes I dont wanna watch. This may be the subject of my next topic.
