Since I am on the east coast, we rarely ever get stars on this side. So what all is acceptable and what all should I expect when attending this? They will autograph anything that you purchase at the bookstore that they are in for "free". It kind of exciting to be apart of since it your first one and all! There will be other people waiting in line behind you. 2. Be prepared to pay for your photo, even if you bring your own camera. The stars are getting $$$ for every picture taken, and they've signed a model release for those specific pictures. 3. Do NOT take any photos without the express consent of the star. No shots from far away, over other fans' heads. 4. Do not take photos of other fans, unless they're posing for a photo with you and the star. You don't want any unwitting subjects in the background of your pictures. People deserve their privacy. 5. ASK the star if you may touch her. Likely she'll put her arms around you and pose for a cozy, sexy shot. Don't grab her ass or her boobs, or try to kiss her if she hasn't consented. She's a human being and deserves that courtesy. 6. Give the employees a break and don't gripe. Signings are long, long events for us, and we appreciate happy, cooperative fans. 7. Don't come to the event drunk. I can't believe how many morons do this. 8. Don't fuck around with the store's merchandise unless you're seriously looking to buy something. Dildos are not light sabers. 9. Dress as though you know you're going to have your picture taken with a beautiful woman. Comb your hair and brush your teeth. Shave, and for God's sake, put on a clean shirt. It's amazing how many guys come to these events looking like total slobs. Show her some respect by making an effort to look and smell nice. 10. Be polite, friendly and complimentary.
