Hi all,
This may have been asked before, so accept my apologies in advance if it has.
I've never ordered movies through the mail before. I'm not a huge porn connoisseur, so most of what I buy, I just get from a store in town. I have no favorite companies, so I generally just pick out what looks good to me.
This will soon change. I'm looking to stock up on some older titles with particular performers; ones that I will most likely have to get online.
So here's my questions:
1. Are the links affiliated with AdultDVDTalk safe buys? Would you recommend these places to purchase from? If not, could you please recommend what you think are the best places.
2. Will I receive an endless amount of solicitation or unwanted catalogs and advertisements in my mail once I purchase from these companies? If so, can I send the movies I ordered to a P.O. Box?
Most of the movies I'd like to purchase (at the lowest prices) all seem to be either at Five Star DVD, Adult DVD Marketplace, and Adult DVD Empire. Are these good companies?
I actually just do rentals. Not that porn is very expensive, but you can just rent films and make copies of what you like and ignore what you don't like.
That being said, Adult DVD Empire seems to have a bad rep, so I would stay clear of them.
I'm not sure about PO Boxes. I've used 5 Star and Adult DVD Empire with no problems ever. I'd recommend both to you. Adult DVD Marketplace (ADM) is like a Half.com for porn, it is all sold by various sellers from different locations. I've sold and bought on ADM with no problems but I've seen threads on problem sellers. Pay attention to the seller feedback and you should be fine. I don't receive tons of unsolicited mail (no more than I used to at all) and I've purchased from Orgazmik, Adult CD Movies, Adult Video Universe, Adult DVD Empire, Five Star, Adult DV-Depot, Pixie's Emporium and X-Rent (probably some more I've forgotten about over the years).
If stores are not reliable (i.e. either too many complaints or failure to pay commissions to Adult DVD Talk), they no longer are affiliated with Adult DVD Talk. So the answer to question 1 is yes.
The only two companies I've ever had a problem of getting *postal* spam are Adam&Eve and Excalibur.
Yes, unless you order from a company that ships exclusively through a non-postal carrier (such as UPS or FedEx), then you can have your order sent to a POB. Check out the site shipping policies.
As Flash says, ADM does not sell directly...they are more like a DVD swapmeet.
That's true for DVD Empire's rental service, but historically the sales side has been good. I've had a few problems now and then, but they've always been resolved eventually.

Diamond,
Just want to say that we turn away a lot of stores. We want to represent the best stores on our site - stores that respond to customers needs.
On our store info pages we asked stores what types of email/mail they send out.
While buying thru any link on adt help supports the site (it lets the stores know where you came from and in some cases we get a commission), when you buy thru Kickbacks we share that commission with you. Some people have earned hundreds of dollars thru Kickbacks.
I've ordered everything from either Action DVD , and I've had no compliants there. this is a very good question because in the process I've had my questions about other sites answered as well. FiveStar DVD has a lot of films I want to get next. Flash says it's okay so I'll now order one or two from there to see if everything is cool.
Diamond Dog, I've been a regular consumer of mailorder porn for quite a few years can give you a little bit of advise. The following online porn stores will ship their products to P.O. Boxes via priority of first class mail:
XRentDVD Five Star DVD Adult DVD Empire Laser's Edge Adult DVD Today
I've had many positive experiences with these particular companies and I highly recommend them. Please visit their websites via the links here at ADT to learn more and happy shopping!
I should add that I've never recieved any unsolicited mail from any of the companies I listed other than an occasional email stating various sales they may be currently having at their websites.
Diamond Dog: I've ordered from both Adult DVD Marketplace and Adult DVD Empire, mainly because of their low prices. Plus, Empire is a participant in the ADT kickbacks program.
I've never experienced a problem with either and based on fellow ADT'er comments, they exercise good customer service if there is any issue.
Nothing says I love you so much as a tongue in the ass. 2884 Posts 1/03

I've ordered from several of the retailers advertised on this site. Adult DVD Empire and Five Star are not only in the kickback program but they ship promptly. The consistently lowest prices are usually at Adult DVD Marketplace. The caveat there is slow shipping. Adult DVD Now also has some great titles at a low price but the shipping is slow there also. I think if you use the price comparisons properly (don't forget shipping charges), you'll be pretty happy with the results.
