I just moved and do not have a decent adult movie rental store near me. Thinking about getting a membership at a rent by mail site. I live in a small town in the eastern part of CA which, by CA standards, is "conservative" country. Given the recent obscenity cases is it safe to rent through the mail? I'm not into the really extreme stuff - I mostly watch JJ, anabolic/diabolic, 3rd degree, babgbros, etc. Mostly the "mainstream" stuff. I know I'm probably being overly paranoid but is anyone concerned about receiving through the mail? If there are any rental site employees on here what do you do to make sure the movies you carry are mailable? Thanks in advance to any replies.

I'm not an employee of any company but last I knew Adult DVD Empire was careful about what they stocked. Their mail time may be the longest for you as they are in PA, but if you are concerned about title content they are probably the best choice for you.

I don't think the person receiving porn has much to worry about (unless you're dealing with illegal product, like under-age porn -- in which case we DON'T want to hear about it here).
I've found BushDVD to be excellent.
Very discrete packaging by-the-way.
Your neighbors and Postal employees wouldn't have a clue (unless they actually started opening your mail).
Usually, if online retailers and rental sites have an issue with a particular shipping address (state, area or even zip-code by zip-code), THEY will not ship to you. If they don't have your area on their no-ship lists, I would consider that a very good sign.

^ agreed..Bush is good and you are in CA..so the turn around should be very quick..I'm sure they wouldn't put themselves in a bad situation if they know it could be trouble shipping to a particular city.

Thanks for the replies. Being in CA I'm considering Bush or Xrent. Any suggestions would be great and any other thoughts regarding my initial posting are much appreciated. Thanks!

I live in CA. and have rent form many online companies
I find www.xrentdvd.com to be the best if you live on the west coast. It takes Adultdvdempire to long to send movies here on the west coast. with xrentdvd I get movies weekly in discreet packaging.

Oh, mine might have a clue. No one, I say NO ONE, can listen to that many audiobooks for this many years!
FYI - to those that have never used BushDVD, the return address is something like CD Audiobooks.
To zin447, I'd highly recommend either Bush or Xrent. No worries about anything they carry. There are more than a few threads over the years with rental by mail reviews.
