In jenna jamesons book she writes about crying and feeling horrible after some scenes doing gonzo,saying the male pornstars were disrespectful.And you watch other hardcore scenes like ghettogaggers and others where they treat the women stars like shit.Is that shittalking part of the script and you know there going to call you a bitch and a whore and all that other stuff.Or does the dialogue just begin when filming starts?
Besides the Up N Cummers vids she did with Randy West, Jenna didn't do any gonzo. (unless it was unreleased) And I highly doubt she was referring to those. She worked with Felecia, Randy West, and Kylie Ireland. And I've never heard anyone complain about Randy West.
^^ My recollection is that although Jenna did do most of her pre-Wicked work for Randy West, she also did a lot of hardcore photo shoots and scenes (loops) for little no-name companies/directors, most of whom are long gone and forgotten. So when I read Jenna's book, I figured she was talking about those early experiences with the no-name companies. I know it took Jenna a real long time to "commit" to being in porn (against the wishes of her girlfriend at the time, Nikki Tyler), and when she finally did, she was very picky about who she signed with--turning down an offer from Vivid to go with Wicked, because Wicked promised to market & build there whole company around her. As a newbie in the biz, if she had signed with Vivid she would have been one of many girls--and not the mega-star she became. Bottom line: I found Jenna's book to be a "fair" representation of life in the biz, without too many axes to grind.
Tera Patrick talks about having a negative experience early in her career that made her leave porn for awhile but doesn't mention names. Any idea who her co-star was and what he did that caused her to leave?
I can't see any major company or director ambushing a girl and doing stuff to her that they didn't tell her about before hand. I don't know what she refers to as "disrespectful". If it was only a matter of them calling Jenna names during a scene I don't think it's a big deal. I can understand her not liking it but this is all fantasy and role playing. It's porn. It's not like those phrases haven't been uttered in porn before.
Speaking of pornstar's books dealing with life in the porn biz..... When I read Christy Canyon's book I thought it was a whitewash and an attempt to try and only talk about porn in a positive way. I thought there's just no way a person could've been in porn that long and not have any real negative experiences. But after listening to Christy on NIGHT CALLS talk about her time in porn with other girls I give her book way more credibility. Because she signed with Vivid and because of her positive personality she really didn't have to deal with a lot of the negative aspects of the business. She often is generally surprised to hear some girls talk about the stuff they went or go through. Bill Margold even made a point to tell her she was really shielded from a lot of the bad aspects of porn.

Yeah, I think it was that one guy, you know, the white guy that tends to act so cool because he's in a porno. His behavior was really bad and it offended her, so she left.

D'uh, what porn industry are you talking about. Porn is, was, and always will be all about paying the talent as little as possible and getting the most out of them. The porn industry is filled with stories about talent getting taken advantage of. You just have to read this site to hear them. And as much as I hate to mention the guy that was married to Bridgette Kerkove (apologies if named spelled wrong) he even mentioned about how the director of a film had her do a bunch of guys in 3 different rooms in 3 different outfits and tried to pass it off as one scene. You really want to see talent get ambushed? Watch Carly Parker in American Gokkun #2, and tell me she was treated nice.

Youre right,jenna was talking about what generally happens to girls in porn when they do there first scene with some asshole who thinks there names whore and bitch. But she did mention a director who names she didnt mention was mad about lighting issues and when the issues were reolved he was angry and came into her room and told her to hurry up and get her whore ass out there and do what she does best.This had nothing to do with the scene or roleplaying at all. Well, in Chapter 10 of her book, Christy describes her first sex scene with Ron Jeremy, Rick Cassidy, and Stevie Taylor in Swedish Erotica #57 and it wasn't a particularly pleasant experience for her. She wrote that she was so nervous and turned-off that she was all but paralyzed, completely incapable of enjoying the scene or giving the white-hot performance for which she would become famous. The part where she gets home and breaks down crying in the shower is particularly heart-wrenching. I read that and was surprised that she continued working after that experience, but as she wrote, the money was good and she really didn't have any other options. Fortunately in her next shoot she got to work with Ginger Lynn and Peter North, and thus was her career saved. Later, she describes an incident with a photographer who tries to take advantage of her--that led to her first retirement. Maybe compared to all the drama in her personal life, the porn community seemed a lot better for Christy--but I wouldn't call it a whitewash job. She did come back to porn after a few years--then retire and come back again. I enjoyed reading her book, Lights, Camera, SEX!
