Hello Tricia,

In a parallel thread I asked question about Evil Angel and DBM-director SX Kowalski. You did not reply to it, so (as suggested by Ramsey) I repost it in this new thread. I hope you can shed some light on this old story!

========================================================

I am sure all these European porn veterans now working in the USA know each other for over quite some time. 10 years ago, DBM was one of the foremost companies. They had two film directors: SX Kowalski and Gabriel Pontello. Jean Yves LeCastel performed as an actor in some DBM productions. Christoph Clark also directed a couple of movies for DBM, so they gave him his own sub-label: Clarks. Rocco Siffredi was an old buddy of fellow-Italian Gabriel Pontello.

Later on Rocco Siffredi and Christoph Clark joined Evil Angel. Interestingly, SX Kowalski (DBM's top director) was also interested in joining Evil Angel. He took a plane to the USA, went to the EA office and ... they turned him down!!! Apparently Evil Angel was not at all impressed by the long list of hardcore/fetish/extreme movies he had directed for DBM. Can anyone confirm this story? If true, it must be considered an amazing blunder by Evil Angel. Some of the stuff Evil Angel is doing right now (e.g. The Fashionistas; Christoph Clark's Hardball series; Jules Jordan's recent work) is very much in line with what SX Kowalski did 10 years ago...

I didn't know an answer to your question, so I asked John.

John doesn't remember meeting him, but he does remember seeing his movies, and he told me that he didn't think they were very well done or very well-directed.
John asked me to say that just because something has fetish or any specific harder sex act doesn't mean it's automatically good.
Perhaps it took some current directors a little longer, but they worked on finding a different level to explore that side of their personality.

That's an excellent point by John and more relevant than ever.

One cock up the butt is probably going to be much more erotic than three. Along those same lines, just because a baseball bat can fit, doesn't mean a regular dildo wouldn't be a better choice.

Freak show sex has a limited appeal, but it shouldn't be mistaken for true eroticism.

Well, to expand on it, stuff that's pretty crazy out there sexually can be found in movies which we enjoy.
We just have to like the performances, the personalities, the direction, and it needs to have more than mediocre technical aspects.
