I don't know anything about the running time, but our foreign salespeople will ask them to take a peek - perhaps this has to do with the running time of the movie, plus any extra footage?
Most likely it is the US playing time, versus the German playing time.

I am sure that MMV is doing everything they can to deliver you a quality product within their legal boundaries.

I too am curious about this alleged cutting required for Germany - usually it's claimed to be the other way around - i.e. some US titles are supposed to be available in "Europe" with added fisting and/or watersports.

I hope the following info is helpful to you:

1. MMV releases a lot of EVIL ANGEL films on dvd BUT the information provided on the sleeve is VERY mis-leading.

2.Euro Anal Teens (MMV) = Euro Angels # 18
Euro Anal Teens #2 (MMV) = Euro Angels # 19
Euro Anal Teens #3 (MMV) = Euro Angels # 20
Euro Anal Teens #6 (MMV)=unknown (NOT a Euro Angels title)

3. MMV release German dubbed discs as well as English language ones BUT there is no correct information on the sleeves to indicate this. (Rocco / Buttman releases are German dubbed, but the above anal teens are original language)

4. The difference in running times is due to the PAL speed up (PAL runs 4% faster than NTSC).
MMV only use an approximate to indicate running times.

5. The issue of censorship is quite complex in Germany.

FSK (the German censorship body) does NOT cut hardcore features, because they can only legally be sold within German Sex Shops (therefore all Evil Angel titles released by MMV on DVD are the same as the US tapes).

Mainstream films which require lower certificates (so they can be sold in shops like HMV) get heavily censored for violence ( John Woo's HARD BOILED was cut by 40 minutes )

6. MMV have a very unpredictable release schedule so there is no way to tell what is due out and when.
Their web site must comply with Germany's unusual internet censorship laws, hence the information/ images on their (crap) site is very poor (the dvd covers are extremely hardcore so the image can not be shown on their site).

** I can only hope MMV release EURO ANGELS #13 (I totally love this film) on dvd soon because the Evil Angel dvd will not be out for at least a year or more **

In my experience, Shiva's releases are the same as the US edition (sometimes with Dutch subtitles on VHS). They also use the correct titles to make things easy for you!
(Ero DVD are a good company, check the International Shopping forum for comments).

I've not seen the US tape but the editing of some scenes on the Night Trips DVD seem very abrupt (esp. during Jewel De'Nyle's scene). This could be just poor editing by Extreme Associates in order to produce their *director's cut tapes*.

Actually a sort of running thread about foreign versions of DVDs could be very helpful: people who know that an American title is available under a different name in Germany or somewhere else could post their information.

I can offer one additional piece of information: "Küken 1" from MMV is "Every Man's Fetish: 18 and Barely Legal" from Leisure Time, and it is unfortunately dubbed in German.

(The trailer on my MMV discs also shows that Feuerteufel = Flashpoint. That trailer is in English, but I don't think that is a proof that the movie itself would be undubbed.)
