Hi,

I'm pretty sure this film is out on disc already. However, it is my understanding that the original theatrical release was 82 minutes long and had some scenes that were trimmed before the movie was issued on VHS/Beta in the late seventies. In other words, the only version that was totally uncensored was shown in theaters.

I have my doubts, but do you have any knowledge of this version or is it in your archives somewhere? I can appreciate the fact that it may be a little too controversial to release in such form, but I was curious if the print in question even still exists.

There is a scene in "Anna Obsessed" with a pistol insertion segment in the original release which was indeed shown uncensored in the theaters. We have the complete and unedited version but feel that the pistol insertion scene is a bit too controversial to release from a legal standpoint.

The original theatrical release was titled "Anna Obsessed" and ran 82 minutes.

It didn't do well in theaters so it was cut down to 74 minutes and retitled "Obsessed". This version did have the pistol rape.

The early home videos by Arrow and VCA had the pistol rape scene intact, but it was eventually edited out.

A bootleg from Alpa Blue Archives (mastered from a VCA tape and including trailers for other VCA films) was released at some point in the early nineties. It is no longer available.

I was curious to know if the first version titled "Anna Obsessed" and running 82 minutes is out there. I tend to doubt it since it was never released on VHS / Beta, and wasn't shown after it's initial theatrical debut.

I've seen two different versions released by VCA on vhs tape. One ran 74 minutes and the other was 70 minutes. Each one was titled "Anna Obsessed" on the box, but "Obsessed" during the opening credits.

I've never seen the 82 minute version. Does anyone know how long the TVX version is? I'm guessing it falls between 70 and 74 minutes.
