you just can't deal with the fact that quit a few porn stars are intelligent young women who all went to school before porn. I learned Enlglish for 9 years before I came to the US and of course there's still a lot to learn once you really have to get along in a different language in another country. I'm very proud of my language skills. I know I have an accent and I might make mistakes here and there but looking at the big picture I think I'm not bad at all. And I have more to say than just about fucking and sucking cock.
Aside from Katja's very good points, what do you mean "optional"? My nephews get English as a second language in the last two years of primary school. At the grammar school I went to, the fourth, fifth and sixth language were optional, but only after the first few years.
Even the worst educated Eurobabe speaks better English than most Americans speak any other language than English.
My last paragraph deals with the fact that non-Americans learn English. The first is a joke. Since non-Americans post here, it is self-evident that there is some education.

If people, including those in porn, think that it is much of a medium for showing anything about a person beyond there bodies, they have not scene the final product. I'm fairly certain that whatever depth of personality exists, most directors find the display of such irrelevant.
Possibly, but that doesn't mean it is irrelevant to the viewers. It's highly personal of course, but although a pornstar's looks are the first thing I look at (obviously), personality, or what I perceive to be aspects of a girl's personality, is very important to me in order to be able to get more enjoyment out of a scene.
The ability to communicate in whatever language the scene happens to be in, is crucial to get that personality across. Hearing a girl repeat obviously rehearsed lines not appealing at all.
Sure, but what is of concern to individual viewers may not be of concern to the director. Look at most of the titles with foreign porn stars (from an American perspective). How often do the women speak? And when they do, how often is it some vapid porn scripting? That has little to do with the individual. Some European porn stars have never spoken in titles that I remember. Which isn't to say they don't, but that they don't often do such. Now lets look at directors. The better ones both have the ability to bring out aspects of the porn stars that would make a scene hotter. But is that majority, or even a large part of the scenes out there? Most directors are pretty cookie cutter really. To an extent the market has made porn stars somewhat of a replaceable commodity for the average porn viewer. They film each scene with each woman the same way, taking away uniqueness. Which makes the accomplishment by Jenna Jameson of making her name stand out as a unique desireable product so outstanding.
Speaking of the average porn viewer, lets look at those who buy and rent most of what is out there. That is, not those who watch the most as individuals, but where rentals/sales are. Do they as a group look for individual porn stars that they become fans of? Or do they just look for a cover that looks hot and go with that, remembering nothing about each star that they follow up on?
At any rate, for the most part, life accomplishments are irrelevant for the on-camera stuff, although it may have much to do with the off-camera stuff that made a scene good. Asia Carerra apparently tested well enough to qualify for MENSA and was/is a web designer. And learned the piano, which she was actually shown playing in the beginning of a scene. Once. This affected the scene how? Would she still have had fans if she was a dead fuck? Well it worked for Savannah. If Asia did not present a pleasing image then?
People watch for the sex and the hot naked bodies. Some may like to see more, but that seems secondary even then. Would they care about the life story of the woman working the cashier at their local store? No? Then why were they interested in what the porn star is like and anecdotes about their life. Could it possibly be because they happened to be watching that person fucking?
