Can you elaborate on your comment above? What;s wrong with someone stating that he/she is disgusted by a certain type of adult film (in this case IR)? I suggest you read Hardware's comment above and not be too judgmental. I do not like watching films with extremely overweight/obese actors. Does that make me prejudiced??...no! Believe it or not sexual attraction, just like in real life, has its limits and in most cases they are genetically defined. If you are getting aroused by any subject that is of the opposite sex (sans race, age, etc) I would say that you are clearly a medical case. I suggest you read Nietzsche (even some of Kinsey's early work) as he addresses the issue rather intelligently. Sex and race on the other hand are just a tiny facet of a much more complex psychologial nature...and believe it or not there is nothing incorrect with it as they are both based on personal preferences.

With this said, you questioning the fact that a person might not be interested (sexually) in a member of the opposite/or same sex because of racial background...places you in the very group of people you are accusing of racial bias. Which for the record...is simply not there to begin with!!!

I didn't say it is disgusting, I said "I personally find it disgusting". There's no rational reason, it's not happening in my head, it's happening in my guts. That's kind of the point - it's just that different people have different tastes.

The problem comes when other people try to ascribe hidden motivations to someone's tastes - maybe they exist with some people, maybe not with others, but how can anyone else judge from the outside? This is a problem because people sling accusations of racism against any girl who won't work with black guys... particularly ironic when so much IR porn is all about a dominant-big-black-male role play that reinforces all the stereotypes about blacks being aggressive, sexually rapacious, etc.

As others have pointed out, this is very well-trodden ground, and no amount of words on ADT are going to turn around the porn-industry behemoth.

Nor should that be the place to start.
It's also been pointed out before that if we want to address the problem of racism, we should start somewhere important like politics, education, law enforcement, etc.
Not some girl getting loads blown on her for a living.

The guys who make these arguments sound just like the guys who want hemp legalized "strictly for the ecology"

First, Tailor Rain did not say she would NOT do a scene with an American Indian, so why would you be offended?

Second, her racist, crank tweeking, red neck pimp is probably 1/4 indian. But that is just a guess.

These threads always amuse and disturb me at the same time. These women are not anyone's property. They have complete control over their body, and they have an absolute right to set any limits that they want, as long as they are willing to accept getting fewer job offers, because of it.

The sense of entitlement that some porn fans have reflects a deeper attitude towards escorts. That if a women is willing to fuck for cash, she immediately loses her right to ever say no.

Bullshit

Just because a girl is in the biz does not automatically take away her right to set boundaries. Whether we agree with her boundaries is completely beside the point. Not only is it not our decision, it's not even any of our business.

And, once again, I warn performers not to even waste their time discussing this issue, because those people hounding you aren't ever going to agree with your decision anyway, so what's the point of wasting your time.

Just say it's a personal decision, and you don't care to discus it.

Yes, that's right. Not only do performers have the right to work exclusively within their own race, they're not even obligated to explain why.

Freedom is so cool isn't it.

Unless that freedom deprives a porn fan of what they want to see, then all bets are off.

Which is really pathetic, since the entire porn industry is protected by that word.

You would think that an industry (and fans) who are so dependent on a single word would respect performers who also believe in that word, and what it represents.

In short, anyone who harasses a performer over their choice of sex partners is a hypocrite. You want the freedom to watch porn, but you won't respect the performer's freedom to choose their own partners.

Freedom is a two way street.

Peace out!

Since as I had expected/feared this thread has degenerated into mostly the same old tired bullshit (thanks PP for bringing it up), I'm going to lock it now. Thanks to Cyberchicken for a nice erudite post and a good way to close out the thread.
