She was about as famous as a pornstar could be in the early 90's. There was a lot less acceptance of porn then, and it's easier to become a star in the internet age. She was (and still is) gorgeous. Perhaps it's my love of hairbands and their groupies showing, but I've always loved pornstars from that era the most, especially those with the "big 80's hair." [Link]

She was nice enough to say a few words to me while on stage and receiving a tip. A real stunner and you don't loose those kind of looks over a few years. I almost shot my wad right then. As for her comeback, I doubt it. She's got kids who are at those teen years--that make Mom being a pornstar more complicated. I suggested on-line, and to people who know Steve Hirsch, that it would be great if at one of their many celebration events, they make a real effort and invited back ALL of the Vivid Girls from the past. Playboy does a similiar thing with it's major anniversaries (25th, 30th); inviting all of the Playmates who ever appeared in the mag to the Mansion for a day long event. IMO that would have been the best chance for a Racquel "comeback"--as well as to see Jamie Summers, Ashlyn Gere, Heather Hunter, Jenteal, Devon, Dyanna Lauren, Raylene, Deidre Holland, and all the others that made Vivid the wealthy company it is today. The girls wouldn't be "performaning" in scenes, but there would have been a lot of good catch-up, and the fans would have turned out in huge numbers. Since Vivid has produced it's Showtime "Vivid Valley" series & "Debbie Does Dallas" series, they could have gotten another publicity boost out of this "Reunion"--and even put it out on DVD later for fans. Hell, AVN's Award shows are on cable and DVD, so this would have worked too! But it never happened...and I don't know if Vivid even tried to contact these former stars. It would have been nice. Click to expand The difference, of course, in the willingness of these past stars wanting to appear at a public event after all this time between Playboy playmates and Pornstars is that the pornstars fucked on camera; most porn stars want to get on with their lives at some point..some don't want any association because of the stigma; it's one thing to have posed nude in what is almost a wholesome nudity versus sucking and fucking on camera. i would have loved to have seen some of these girls though. I remember seeing Jentealin the late 90s at a porn store signing and she was even more strking in person; I'd love to see her now. AS far as some stars that I have seen fairly recent pictures of, Heather Hunter, by far, has maintained her looks and still looks amazing. I remember when Racquel first came on the scene and couldn't believe that such an gorgeous woman was doing porn, not that there is anything wrong with that; I don't want to get started on the debate that there is anything wrong with doing porn, but it clearly causes problems for some getting "legit work' outside of the industry.
