RAME is an acronym for Rec.Arts.Movies.Erotica. It is a moderated usenet newsgroup that has been around for many years. The rame newsgroup has an associated website principally run by Jeff (with a little help from his friends). He's a great guy, and on ADT, his name is "Adult DVD FAQ". The RAME website also houses the IAFD (or the internet film database) which is by far the most comprehensive database of adult films available. It is consumer driven, and the information in it is only as good as the information that consumers contribute to it. Peter Van Arle is the coalator of information for the database--and from what I hear he is literally a walking encyclopedia of porn. It is often behind by a few months, though, so you won't be able to find the newest stars or the newest movies listed there, but it does catch up eventually. In addition to the database of basic facts about the movies and stars, the iafd also offers links to reviews that have been put up on the newsgroup as well as links to many reviews in various places on the internet including Rog Reviews and ADT. There is also a lot of other goodies--including the most comprehensive FAQ about adult movies, and the adult industry available on the internet.

It's an amazing resource.

The amount of information you guys know still amazes me. There should be a quiz show on TV about porn. Maybe Who Wants To Be A Millionaire type of show.
