After watching the ABC special and hearing how much Bella Donna was paid for her double anal scene, I'm curious as to what the rates are for certain sex acts in porn. I believe she said she was paid $1500 for that double anal scene. I'm sure different studios have different pricing rates so I don't really need specific figures. But how much more does double anal get over single anal? Can a double penetration make more than strictly vaginal? How much just for a blowjob scene? Does a starlet get $100 more if she performs ass-to-mouth? Is there an extra $50 in it for her if she swallows? If she takes on 4 men at once, does she get 4 times the pay of a one-on-one scene? I understand if the directors and studios prefer not to say but I'd just like an idea how much more one act is worth than another. Thanks!

OK, then. It starts at free if you're married to the director and goes up to $20,000.Yes, it is always more. There are levels of pay for tease scenes, masturbation, toy play, masturbation, girl-girl, boy-girl vaginal, anal, multiple-guy but not double penetration, double penetration, etc. It's not standard to pay more for a facial, but if the girl takes facials, she has usually figured that into her payrate ahead of time. Not 4 times more, but more.

Now we know why Brad Armstrong is dating almost every girl he has ever worked with. He is a cheapskate.
btw, this probably means that you did that fabulous scene with John in Buttman's Toy Stories for free, right? That reminds me of a psychological experiment I had to learn about as a student. It proved that when your reward for doing something is not very big, you tend to attach more value to the job itself, while, on the other hand, when you do get rewarded very well, you tend to think of the job as just a another way to make some money. So, it is better to pay less, than to pay more, except that the person must be willing to do the job to begin with. The experiment went as follows. People were asked to defend statements in which they did not believe. Some of them got rewarded, others didn't. Afterwards, it was established that the people who did get a reward, had the same beliefs as before the experiments, while people who didn't get a reward, became more sympathetic to the statements they had to defend, although they were against those statements before the experiment.

Oh my god... I just read my response to you outkastfan...
I SO did not mean to come off sounding so harsh.
I stand by what I say of I don't give out how much money the girls make, and don't think that it's necessary info for anyone else to know, but I wasn't angry that it was asked, and I'm sorry if it came out that way.

Walter - well, actually, since John and I keep our finances separate (I consider myself lucky to have a guy as wonderful as him AND get to live in such a great house, etc.), he DID pay me for the Toy Stories scene. I wasn't on salary for Evil Angel DVD then, but I am now, so my editing and PR work and all that is paid for by EA DVD. Of course I work harder for him than I would for someone I wasn't in love with, but that's OK.
However, after Cellar Dwellars, I don't think I ever got paid for any of my other scenes for Rob Black.

Well, I didn't expect THAT. OTOH, I have read stories in this forum and in other forums that you are not alone in this. Meaning, Rob Black seem to like the idea of not paying the talent. No use looking back, I guess.
How odd. That doesn't jibe with my personal work ethic at all. At least in terms of how much money I would ask somebody for a job I would perform. I'm totally aware of what I'm doing and if I know that I've been spinning my wheels not doing much constructive, I would feel distinctly uncomfortable asking somebody to pay me for it. I always take pride in what I do and I feel that I should deserve the money I get paid. (Otherwise I feel guilty about having cheated the other person.) So, everything else being equal, paying me more would only cause me to work harder so that I could justify the expense on the part of the employer; paying me less would make me not care quite so much if I kept going on extended breaks, or wasn't as attentive to details. (Yes, I know, it doesn't pay, monetarily anyway, to be "nice" like this.)That sounds right up my alley. I love a good debate, and I'm just as good at arguing "the other side" as I am the side I personally believe in. In fact, I frequently argue for the simple sake of the argument itself. (Which is not the same as saying that I like being argumentative. I just enjoy the intellectual exchange of ideas.) You wouldn't need to pay me to do this. However, as I said above, I'd probably enjoy it more if I was also being paid.
P.S. I should also point out that "being paid" doesn't necessarily equate to money. Needing to pay the bills aside, I respond far better to respect, praise, and simple feelings of accomplishment and a job well done for its own sake than I do to actual money.
It would be interesting to know whether similar rates are paid when European girls are hired. Would they be lower because so many dollars in Hungary are worth a lot more, or however currency works in the face of a weak economy?
I only ask as there's always a lingering concern in the 'taking advantage' zone, and it would be nice to know that the industry (across Europe as well) treats its talent with fairness.
The thought came in the audition sequences on one of the Road Trip series. Vince said he'd pay more for trying double vaginal. Too bloody right, I thought. If it all goes wrong, I'd want $500 a stitch and sod where I come from!
If the Biz had a public pay scale, then studios would miss out on the chance to occasionally find a girl, who unknowingly performs in a scene, for much less than she could have negotiated for.
Plus there is the issue of looks. I mean how do you say it politely. If two girls perform the exact same sex act, but one is a skank, she's going to be offered less. So if the girl says "ok this is the going rate", how does the director say "that's only the going rate if you don't look like a crack whore".

Actually having the rates available can help or hurt the performers. By having rates public, newbies as well as other talents can be sure that they do not get taken advantage off. On the other hand, feelings can get hurt. If the rate for a double anal scene with an unattractive has-been is $<<peanuts, then an unattracative has-been will have 2 choices, accept the lower rate or refuse the job.
Studios and directors generally have vested interest to keep the rates confidential so that they can pay less whenever possible. A few quality studios will pay above the base rate to attract quality talents. The privacy of salaries in the US often hurt the lower paid employees because they do not know that colleagues doing the same work may be paid considerably more.
I think that overall, if the rates are published publicly, talents can negotiate better rates, and public rates will help most talents.
Boy, do I feel conflicted answering to this topic. If I say what I make, and it's way lower than anyone else's rate I'm gonna feel like dirt. On the other hand it's not like I think I'm A class talent anyhow. <shrug> World Modeling represents me and I accepted the rates they advised me to ask. A couple times I've been told that I should ask a higher rate, and there have been many times that the rate I was offered was higher than what I would have asked for (of course I take it!). My rates are always negotiable, and I will usually accept a lower rate from a director I like to work with if it's a deal breaker. (if it's someone or something I'm not crazy about, forget it) All that being said. BJs are between 150$ - 400$ G/G 400$ - 600$ B/G 500$ - 800$ A 800$ - 1000$
I've been offered as much as 1500$ for a DP, and as little as 1000$. Multiple partner scenes usually pay better than single partner scenes. When I'm considering a rate I always ask how long the shoot is expected to take. If it's a quick gonzo shoot I'm willing to take a lesser rate because it won't be so draining to do. If it's an all day shoot I probably won't budge on my rate, unless it's a project I really, really want to do. Sometimes dialogue offers an increase in pay as well (although I'd happily do it for free, I think it's fun.). Still photo shoots are not included in this list because they range all over. I don't do gang bangs and circus acts, so I can't give you any figures on those.
Thanks for the incredibly honest response Kimi!!!! You may not be as well known as some of the stars but here you are well known and thought of very highly!!!! I wish you nothing but the best this year and hope it is a very productive and satisfying year for you!!! Girlfriend--- YOU are very HOT!!! Believe me!!!
Call me naive (wait, I don't mean that literally <grin>), but has nobody ever been paid an actual "salary" for a movie? In other words a flat fee that doesn't include a detailed breakdown of everything that's going to happen? The script has a general plot and dialogue, but the sex scenes are left up to the spontaneity of the actors?
An example of such an unscripted, do what you feel like scene would be the movie Girls On Film, which I've not yet seen but would consider a must have for its groundbreaking innovation in its genre.
Or, even if we're not talking unscripted, is there no consideration of anything other than pure sex acts? What about the more plot based, acted, movies where the non sex scenes and actual talent is a factor?

Girl-girl pays less because it is less physical, less emotional, and less invasive as a whole. If it paid more, there'd be even more girls who only do girl-girl because they don't want to "cross the line" into boy-girl on camera.
Mythsong: EXACTLY! To me, payscales don't exist as a generality, because there are too many factors to consider: looks and sexual ability of the girl, how much footage is going to be needed, is there a long tease ahead of the sex, is the guy pleasant to work with, will there be a little or a lot of dialogue in addition to the scene...
Kimi - to be completely honest with you, I have never seen one of your sex scenes, as until now you have done most of your work for companies that I don't really watch their stuff. So I can't tell you whether you have been asking a reasonable rate one way or the other. Evil Angel pays for what they will get out of a scene, and that includes looks and sexual energy/ability. So I would pay Belladonna/Aurora Snow/Kaylynn/etc. significantly more for the same planned scene as I would to many of the other girls currently working.

Kimi - although I respect your right to publicly state your rates, I have to say that I question if it might end up hurting you in the future.
I like your new look (red hair, etc). By putting general rates up, you are limiting your ability to raise them in the future.
Also, I hope that for those of you that asked this question, although Kimi's rates are indeed in the approximate range of what the different scenes pay, they are HER rates only, and other girls may make more or less for the SAME scene.
It might, and I did think about that before I posted it. On the other hand, I don't mind disclosing to the general public and it might save me answering a dozen emails this week about how much money I make. I don't do so much work that I think it's likely that I will ever command significantly more than I currently do.Thank you!
Good for you! I was beginning to feel a little too much like this discussion was talking about rates for different cuts of meat, and was hoping to interject some consideration of the actual people involved. How I could get so uncomfortable, when appearing in front of the camera is the last thing that would ever happen to me, is beyond me. But if I ever do get hit by lightning, the Moon turns to blue cheese (Or is that green cheese?), and the grass really DOES turn out to be greener on the other side - I'll come work for Evil Angel! <grin>
More seriously, it's people like you, Tricia, who give the business a good name. Keep up the good work and the great attitude.
I have seen on several posts that some of the talent gets stiffed on payment with bounced checks, etc. Especially if one is established talent why not demand cash. I assume you are required to sign a release on the images, it seems only logical you could negotiate cash, particularly with firms that have reputations for bounced checks.

Checks are easier for record keeping, proof of independent contracting, etc. Checks are standard operating procedure for most jobs unless they have something to hide. It is a sleazy company that will bounce a check on a poor hardworking male or female porn talent, but there are slimy bastards in any industry, porn included.
Also, in reference to bouncing checks...do keep in mind that writing bad checks is a felony and may be accompanied by serious jail time. So anyone that has a habit of doing so, probably won't be doing it for long.
Can't help but point out that the more we discuss this topic, the more I feel we are talking about prostitutes on the street discussing their rates rather than porn stars. And I always tried to imagine porn stars as MUCH different from prostitutes (not even related.) But this kind of topic makes the two very much closer in career choices than I care to think about. Oh well, just one more truth to porn that ruins the whole appeal of it. Its like David Copperfield explaining a magic trick; once the illusion of reality is broken, who cares about the show?
Prostitutes are paid to give someone sexual pleasure. Porn stars are paid to perform sexual acts, with other porn stars, on camera. Prostitutes are paid to make someone feel good. Porn stars are paid to make sex look good. Prostitutes work for the people they are giving pleasure to. Porn stars work for the company producing the film they are about to be in.
When you order a pizza, it costs more with extra toppings, doesn't it? When the pizza guy tells you it's gonna be $1.25 more if you want pepperoni does it sound like a prostitute quoting her street rates to you? Geesh!
Why do some things "cost less" in porn? Because they are less invasive, easier to do, take less time to film, and are less likely to cause injury (no matter how fleeting or mild). A lawyer charges less to write up a will (a stardard will around Cleveland costs $25) than to draft a marriage dissolusion (stardard simple dissolusion in Cleveland $200). Those are set rates for simply stated jobs that a lawyer may do. When the gutter on the east face of my house fell earlier this winter I called several contractors and repairmen. They all quoted me differing rates depending on what I wanted to have done. One even quoted me down to the differing types of attachment devices he might use. Funny thing, it never occured to me to compare them to prostitutes. And what's the big deal with being compared to a prostitute anyway? Sure, the job isn't legal in MOST of the United States, but other than that, what's the big deal? A person has a job, they ask to be compensated in accordance with the difficulty and risk associated with the performance of that job. If you do data entry and it's the same job for the same hours every day, hey, go for a saleried position, you don't need to consider whether today's work will, or won't, be harder than tomorrow's work. If you're an electrician, construction worker, lawyer, doctor, computer contractor, porn star or prostitute, you might consider having set rates for the different tasks you will be asked to perform.
My point is that discussion of this nature just further pushes porn out of fantasy and makes it all the more boring.
I feel also that comments like this 'Prostitutes are paid to give someone sexual pleasure. Porn stars are paid to perform sexual acts, with other porn stars, on camera. Prostitutes are paid to make someone feel good. Porn stars are paid to make sex look good. Prostitutes work for the people they are giving pleasure to. Porn stars work for the company producing the film they are about to be in.'
Well, that completely disregards the most important aspect of the porn industry, which is the fan. The money that goes to a porn company comes from the fan; then it goes to you. If all you do the sex for is the money and to pretend to make the sex look good, then hearing about it really takes a huge stab out of my enjoyment of it... and makes me admire prostitutes more than porn stars, quite frankly.
Imagine thinking, 'wow, that 1000 blowjob Aurora Snow was not even comparable to the Nikita Denise 800 blowjob.' Next, it will make it into reviews, and be ANOTHER form of judgment on how good a scene is. Its these kind of reality based details that I believe detract from the average stroker, raincoater enjoyment of porn.
Tricia once again is on the money; why disclose such things? It cheapens the whole thing. Its definitely not something the public needs to know. I know that behind every smile at AVN was a dollar sign glaze in the eyes; but to hear it like this in the forum reminds me of a previous post where the porn star said that her orgasms were intensified by the amount of money she was making for the sex. Which, again, was something I don't deny being possible, but it was a statement that demystifies and ruins porns fantasy. Imagine a sports figure saying that for every home run he hits, he can just feel the extra money going into his pocket. He would not really be a crowd favorite after awhile.
Furthermore, the reason why the direct correlation between porn star and prostitute becomes a comparison more so that a contractor or pizza delivery is because the product being offered is YOU, not a pepperoni, not an extra gutter drain, not extra mileage on a car for service. So when you rate how much your body is worth for certain acts, the obvious comparison is a hooker. As long as you view yourself as a product with parts and services, then it is only fair for the public to view you as an object rather than a human being. So my point is, don't tell us how much you are worth in terms of money. Thats the business aspect, which, while I would never deny as being part of the industry, is VERY boring in terms of destroying the whole illusion of the fan.
P-K, do you watch pro sports? Have you ever followed a contract negotiation of your favorite player?
There is NO doubt that they play ball for money! But it's still amazing to watch them play. And I have no problem with the fact that they are payed... I just love to watch them play.
What, exactly, is the difference here? I have no problem with the fact that this is a business. God bless America!
I am a huge fan of porn, close to the point of nutso when I argue about its merits and worth in society with all my friends who don't like it. I almost got into a fist fight about the whole belladonna abc special when I talked to someone at a bar about it and he called her a mormon hooker. But its posts like this that take away a lot from my enjoyment of porn. I guess I am in the minority.
My point is that hearing these things brings down the whack factor. if you like knowing such details, thats fine. But I can tell you that as a sports fan it does detract from my enjoyment of the game when all I hear is money money money. Same goes for porn; I know it exists, but I would rather hear about the 'love of the game/love of the sex' not the pay of the game/pay for the sex act. Imagine hearing any sports figure saying, 'I can't wait to hit another home run next game, maybe I will get a bigger contract then.' Compare to porn, a porn star comes out and says, 'man, I can't wait to take that second dick in my ass, much bigger pay check!.' I don't want to hear that, even if its true. Just tell me you want the team to win and you are going to try harder, or in this case, that you like double anal and it makes you cum. Lie to me. Because the more I hear about porn from certain porn stars, the more I realize that its all one big faked circus.
That is fair for you. If it disturbs your enjoyment of the game/movie, then you should divorce yourselves from any activities in which the money is discussed. And I can respect you for it.
I, on the other hand, have no problem at all with the fact that this is pure capitalism. In fact, I find it almost a turn on that these girls make money from this activity. And I would expect nothing less than for them to want to maximize their return.
If topics like these ruin your personal porn fantasy then why on earth do you feel compelled to enter the thread??? If it bothers you then don't read it.
I don't understand the hesitation in answering the question with actual numbers or ranges. I can totally understand why someone wouldn't want to state what they themselves make...for the same reason any other professional wouldn't want to give out that information...it's personal information. However, I do not see the harm in giving some ballpark figures for certain activities. Why not give ranges for people new to the business, averages for people established in the business, and ranges for the top stars? I fail to see the harm in this. Quite obviously, the movie companies are aware of what entry level performers can fetch versus top name stars.
The company I work for doesn't disclose pay rates for jobs. Different employees doing the same job don't get the same pay depending on different factors. I don't see why it wouldn't be the same way in this instance. Where I work they request that you don't share your pay rate so others don't get upset if they are earning less than you. It works the same way here. It was nice of Kimi to disclose what she makes giving everyone a good idea of a range since she was comfortable doing so. I don't think that it ruins anything, a job is a job and one expects to get paid at a job. At a job where there is potential danger for an assignment often one gets hazard pay on top of what they make, why shouldn't an adult film actress make more for doing a DP over vaginal sex. I doubt anyone seriously has the illusion that any star is acting in adult films for free.
I never said they shouldn't get more money for certain acts, I was just questioning whether this being made public negatively affects porno viewing. We all know they do it for money; thats fine. But as far as watching a movie for entertainment and sexual gratification, it detracts from the whack.
My discussion in this topic with Ayebesea was quite nice; I make a point, he makes a point. Opinions are discussed. Its a creative dialogue. But if me not being a bobble head and NOT agreeing with everything said somehow infringes on this post, I apoligize. In fact, I was only trying to enter the conversation by posting and offering a different opinion. But I see now that my comments are not relevant to the initial post. So I will bow out gracefully and go watch Buttmans Bend Over Babes 6. And not knowing how much the actresses were paid to get fucked on it is a plus.
Why would knowing that pornstars are in the biz just for the money ever detract from your entertainment, or "the whack", as you so succinctly put it?
Do you really think Gauge likes getting fucked by four neanderthals 'cause it's just so much fun? Not a chance in hell. She does it b/c of the paycheck that comes with that.
Try asking Belladonna if she would rather flip burgers for $5/hour, or anally ingest household appliances for $1000/scene. I think we already know what her decision was.
Besides, if you read the chat transcripts, pornstars say all the time that the only way to have longevity in the business is to treat it just like that, a business.
I'm definitely not directing this towards only P-Knuckle, I'm just saying in general that I don't know why people have such a hard time in understanding that it's a business.
You are absolutely correct sir! Don't let anyone dissuade you from posting. It has been a pleasure!

In the mainstream area, for example, if Tom Hanks gets 10 million for a movie, it doesn't make the movie good, or make it bad. It is what the movie is about, how it is shot, edited and produced that makes it good or bad.
Knowing how much a porn star makes for a scene means diddly-squat, at least for me. It comes down to how it is shot, how well she performs, how it is edited and produced.
The Hungarian girls that I got to film cost between $500-$1000 an hour.
I wasn't charged per sex act, but on a time basis. So it was as much as I could handle for an hour. I think if I had booked Monica for more than 1 hour I would have had a heart attack!!
Extras such as anal cost an additional $100, depending on what they provided, and if avaiable.

Sorry, but I am disappointed about this discussion. Somebody asks a good question and we get no answers. And we all know, that are porn film regisseurs in this group that know the prices. But the only helpful person so far was actress Kimi Lixx! (Thank you Kimi!) It seems we should not learn about prices, so that talent from foreign countries or new girls from USA will work for smaller money.
I know best about my town and little about other towns, but: - in Moscow: girl-girl costs about 150$; boy-girl 200$; anal 270$; double-penetration 350 $ (in the Russian province it will be half price) - in Prague: g/g 350$; b/g 450$; anal 550$; dp 650$ - in USA: g/g 500$; b/g 600$; anal 800$; dp 1000$
This is why all our Russian girls want to work in West.
No way man, I completely understand why Tricia and other's won't give out prices. It's called discretion, and they have to use it to protect their investments.

I'm not going to divulge out prices but there are general standard rates in the industry which change depending on the situation. A girl's first anal scene (if she markets it properly) often jumps up anal price substantially which is why my minion at Diabolic had so much fun with Cameron several months ago. Cameron claimed it was her first anal (even though I knew Pat Myne shoved it up her ass a few weeks before for Jim Powers) cause she wanted "The FIRST anal rate". I told my minion to keep asking her "This is your first anal, right?" over and over again.
Now if the girl looks like a mule, you're not going to pay the standard rate.
The rate for a Quickie at my house would be significantly less than the rate for a full Boy Girl scene.
A few months ago, I shot what I anticipated a blowjob scene between a girl and Brandon. The girl loves it rough. But the scene was so rough and because Brandon couldn't help himself but to fuck her, I automatically increased her price by threefold. Hey, more power to Brandon.
When I fuck a pornstar in the ear, I don't pay the girl. I'm doing it more for her than for me. It's the experience that matters in that instance.
Thanks Wanker. I was always wondering about that Cameron clip on your site and why you guys kept on pestering her that much about her "first" anal scene. Did you finally expose her? And if so, what was her reaction?
Also, one of the reasons you guys are right up there on my list is because you guys were one of the first to have multiple scenes with cum swallowing in your movies. Do you guys pay more if the girl swallows?
And like I said in my initial post, I know studios may prefer not to divulge their rates to the public so I'm not expecting any figures. But I wanted to know if a certain sex act costed more than another and their rankings with the pay rate. ie: swallowing costing more than a simple facial? does a creampie scene cost more than a facial?
Thanks for all the previous replies!
------------------------------------------ My top 10 reasons for procrastinating are:
In a film a scene may last around 20 mins, but how long does it normally take to film a scene?
Guys how do you manage to control when you're going to cum?
When I booked my girls I made sure it was the time I was paying for. $800 and $500 for an hour, respectively for Monica and Patricia seems to be a bargain.

Girls tend to have a "list" of things that includes things they will or won't do. This is almost never a written list, just a standard of thier OKs.
So if a girl does facials, her rate for that scene includes the possibility of a facial. Creampies are a different story, because they're so much more risky and more invasive. Any self-respecting producer would let the girl know ahead of time and let her decide if she's willing to take a creampie.
sir_cumshooter: a sex scene can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours to finish for a full sex scene. Average, I would say, would be a little over an hour. That basically includes from the time the camera is turned on the first time to when it's turned off the last time.
Guys in this business tend to have a skill with being able to keep their dicks hard and by not coming too quickly. However, if they get too close to coming before the end of the scene, they let the director know, and they take a break for a couple of minutes.
I'm sorry I'm disappointing too many of you, but the reason I didn't give even ballpark figures, is because, like I said, THEY DON'T EXIST. However, any girl with half an ounce of ambition who wants to get in the business can easily find out what she thinks she should make per scene. I've had girls come in my office who've asked for way too little and others who've asked for way too much. I've tried to help steer them in the right direction. For the ones that I thought were asking too much, I would tell them, feel free to ask that, but I want to let you know that most directors won't find that realistic, EXCEPT for perhaps your first scene of a certain type (first boy/girl, first anal, etc.). I go through the list of scenes with them, and I tell them, after taking into consideration their looks and sexual personality, if I were you, this is what I'd be asking for each scene type: BJ, girl/girl, boy/girl, anal, etc. I also tell them what they can expect as standards and what they shouldn't put up with.
As far as specific numbers, I could have told you that I have gotten paid from $500 - $3500 for a standard one guy anal scene. Obviously, that wouldn't have helped either.

Although I do believe you that no fixed pay-rates exist, I still cannot get past the feeling, that not even stating a minimum wage, US-producers try to create a loophole for buying cheep foreign force not experienced in US-porn market. It looks like a <cartel of silence>.
