In your profile, you can put up an avatar. Once something is in that space, you can put a link to your site so people can just click on the picture. Just thought it might make things easier.
You don't click on 'Profile' on top of your posts, it has to be the 'Profile' at the top of the window. Weird, I know, but it keeps people out of each others stuff. That lets you into a window where you can pick out your picture. You have to know where it is on your hard drive. There are some limits, but that is explained. The same window will let you specify a URL that the avatar can link to, presumably your paysite/myspace - or some such location.
On the top of each page there are some links. They are right under the banner ad on top. The words "Register to Post" are in red just to the left of Profile .
An avatar is the little picture that you are asking about.
When you click on the word "profile" at the top of the screen (right next to "Register to Post", what do you see? What you should see is a new popup window titles "User Profile", showing your user name and asterisks for your password.
If this doesn't happen, you may have a popup blocker turned on that is preventing you from seeing it. If that's the case, you'll see something at the top of the screen indicating that a popup has been blocked with a message to "click here" for more options. Click on the "here" and select the option that allows popups at ADT.
If you don't have a popup problem or you get past it and see the "User Profile" screen, then click on Submit. That will bring up the "Edit User Profile" screen. On that screen, there should be a link for "Add Avatar" or "Change Avatar". Click on that link and follow the directions.
