I was wondering if anyone knows the real names of some of the more popular starlets. Also does anyone actually use their real names as stage names?

Yeah, in many or anyway some cases I know their real names. And I know ways of finding out as well in some cases.

But I'm not gonna tell you.

The last thing I'd do would be to put it out on an open forum like this.

How you like them apples??

I don't know you. And I certainly don't know every lurker here. Though actually I wouldn't say even if I did know you. It's up to the stars to tell you or not. Of course usually they won't. There are wackos out there you know.

I know of no girl that uses her full real name as a stage name but there are several who use their first name as part of their stage name to make it easier on themselves.

I've never understood the public's fascination with knowing the real names of celebrities.
Does anyone here know something that it accomplishes other than making the celebrities feel like that's one more part of their private lives that they've lost to the media?
I mean, taking on a cooler sounding name isn't the ONLY reason that people take on stage names, especially for porn celebrities.

I happen to know that there's a porn girl out there who's last name is Kiss, and she has a different porn name because she says she doesn't want lurkers to be able to find her. I'm not saying that ALL girls keep their names private, but if you happen to know that they do, then why does it matter so much to try to figure out their real name.

For the record, my "fake" real name is Rebecca. It's what I tell obnoxious people who won't take "I don't give out my real name" for an answer.

I'm going to stay in character here, and say that I think this topic is in kinda bad taste. And Planet Sex, shame on you for giving away things that were possibly given to you in confidence or in a professional setting.
This is EXACTLY why I know I can trust people like Lee.

Aw, c'mon Tricia! Can't you see that the "real" names I've put there are completely and utterly made up, as a joke?

I mean, "Marie Christine Durden Tyler "? Puleaze!!!

BTW, Tricia, I don't think that his topic is in "bad taste" at all.

It's CURIOSITY, pure and simple. And people NEED to be curious for the humanity to endure.

You don't want to tell you real name? That's fine. You have the RIGHT to keep it a secret, if you wish. That's your prerogative and we HAVE to respect your wishes to privacy.

BUT, as you know, there are PLENTY of other actress who tell their real names, with no problem at all.

There's even a lot of lists in books and Internet sites, widely known, at reach of everybody who's looking for info, and, more importante, WITH PERMISSION FROM THE REAL NAME OWNERS .

Where? Well, I won't tell. Cause in less than an hour I've learnt, AGAIN, that every time I try to help somebody, I got fucked in the ass.

It always seems that the mainstream media always goes out of their way to "out" porn stars, giving both their stage name and real name whenever there is a news story that involves anyone connected with the adult industry.

They could easily use either one of those names (without the other one) for the purpose of their story. Adding the corresponding name just creates sensationalism in the story, and invades the privacy of the person in the story.

Not only porn stars. EVERYBODY. It was only during the trial that I've learnt what "O.J." meant. And I guess that the real name of the INXS singer was divulged as well.

Well I'm very sorry if I brought up a sensitive topic. Again I'm a "newbie" when it comes to this industry, and I didn't know that real names were so secretive, since most mainstream performers use their real names. Still I don't see why knowing a performer's real name would be an invasion of privacy or in any way harmful. Yeah I could see how someone with malicious intent could use it to locate someone, but that wasn't my intention. I was just curious to see who used at least part of their real names in their stage names (and from the list posted, I see there are a few).

1. I knew you were kidding about your list of names for some of the porn stars who frequent this site.

2. I agree most guys who are interested in knowing the real names are interested out of innocent curiosity and not some stalking impulse. But it doesn't take a high percentage to make a porn girls life tougher, scarier, more stressful, or even more dangerous.

3. I REALLY think you should edit out that list you have up above. I REALLY hope you do Planet Sex. TAKE IT DOWN.

Even though as you say there are associations of names with stars, they aren't necessarily always so easy to get.

Anything which makes it less easy for whackos to have the real names the better. Not all will have the sort of knowledge of what's out there as you have. Most won't.

So please Planet Sex TAKE THAT LIST DOWN.

Okay, the damn list is down. Does it make anybody here safe? No, cause anybody that knows how to use an Internet Search Engine can find out the real names of a lot of pornstars - including Tricia's (yes, I know what it is cause a company that hired you put all of their files online - I won't tell where, of course). So, DVDExtreme, you're wrong: it IS easy to find out. Took me only five minutes, four obvious keyworkds, and a crappy search engine to get to that list - spread over 57 different websites, I must add.

But if there's some stalker wanting to, uh, stalk their actress by locating their real names, well... GO SEARCH FOR YOURSELVES! I'm tired of trying to help and getting flak for it. That sucks.

BTW, I'm still tremendouly pissed and angry at Tricia's accusations. I'm usually a good sport, but the ONLY thing that makes me really MAD is when somebody accuses me of doing something I'm innocent of! It started as a joke, she said "shame on me", I got pissed and look at how it ended!

Planet Sex...
I understood that those were not real names. For one I have no idea who Adrienne Gwynevere Smith is... but, at least it was cute.

I wouldn't worry so much. For some it is a real sensitive subject. I don't want anyone to know my real last name. But, you all have my real first name. It's just one of those things that comes with the industry. Women don't like to give out their names for lots of reasons. Some because of their boyfriends or husbands believe it or not. And, others because of their family. But, I think most are just afraid of people finding them and showing up at their door one day.

It's happened before to a few girls.

Anyway, I know I wouldn't appreciate anyone putting my real name online. And, I would probably be more than mad about it. But, I can tell when someone is joking... which made it better for me when I saw my name added to the list above.
hope you aren't upset for too long.
take care..

Adrienne = name of Rocky Balboa's wife. Or so I imagine.

Gwynevere = King Arthur Pendragon's wife, who also slept with Sir Lancelot.

Smith = As in Doctor Zachary Smith, from Lost in Space - the TV series, not the movie!

Planet-
First, I apologize for saying shame on you. Although the names looked kind of ridiculous, I didn't know for sure that they were a joke, and yes, I'm very sensitive about the public's fascination with the real names of porn people.

When I was a stripper in Ohio, one of the girls was followed home by a customer who then went back to her house the next day after the mail arrived. He took a piece of mail out of the mailbox to find out what her name was. He then started stalking her AND her family members who lived in the Toledo area. He told her that if she didn't have sex with him he was going to tell her family that she was a stripper (she had joked at the club about her family not knowing what she was doing). Eventually, she got so scared that she called the police to try to get protection and told her family (which she should have done before anyway) so that the stalker couldn't have anything as blackmail.

Also, I happen to married to a fairly famous director, and our house has been used a location quite a few times in the past. ESPECIALLY since we have a child now, we are more protective than ever of our real names (and at John's request, I am no longer able to post any new pictures of the baby anywhere.)
There have been too many times when some psycho has tracked down John's house and knocked at the door. There's never been any violence, but you never know. It's pretty unnerving, to say the least.
Thankfully, I've gotten married since the last time I've been in a movie for anyone other than Evil Angel, so my current name is something I hold very dear and private.

delijoe - I felt I should respond again since I think your original question seems to have gotten a little lost here.

As you can tell from Tricia's response people are very protective of their privacy especially when their job puts them in the public eye so often. I for one don't much care for "fake" names so my name is my name but there may be other reasons people don't use their real names in the industry. One girl in particular uses a different name because her name sounds "to much like a porn stars name" (her quote). Though there may also be other reasons for a person using a different name. I have been advised by my command that should I ever desire to publish my pictures in a magazine that it might be better for everyone if I put them under a different name.

For the girls in the industry they usually are trying to keep a low profile I think in their real lives and especially the lives of their families. It is one thing for their families neighbors to know that their daughter does porn but it is another thing entirely for their name to be published on a web site or on television.

If they want you to know them they will tell you. In some ways I don't like knowing a woman's real name it makes me nervous to think I might slip up and call them the wrong name at the wrong time. So even with the ones I know I tend to refer to them by their stage names unless we are in private.

If I can throw my 10 cents in you can find out a certain high profile porn stars real name by looking her up at imdb.com
Oh and what about Traci Lords is a well known fact what her real name is

My real name used to be Mike Hunt Licker so you can imagine the teasing and hazing I experience as a lad so I had to change it.

Tricia, your point is well taken.

I have no problem with stage names, and as you point out they can be very helpful. The only thing I ask is that they chose a stage name, and then stick with it. A stage name with a dozen aka’s gets to be frustrating.

I agree with lee_carver. I have known a few real names, and it is worrisome that you might slip up and use the real name at the wrong time.

Bono, when I was in college a fellow that roomed in the same house was named Dick Glasscock. No, that was not short for ‘Richard’, and boy did he ever get razzed about it.

I'd like to put my two cents worth in... My real name has been posted ALL over the net, and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it... it's everywhere. t first it really worried me, that people would be able to find me and figure out all of my past history. But, so far, nothing has happened (fingers crossed). I do agree with a lot of you, it just isn't safe to announce these sorts of things, ya never know what it could turn into!

I totally understand and respect the privacy thing but here is my sole problem with some mind you, I said some starlets. A starlet understandedly uses a fake name for privacy sake. However, they turn around and you see them in some skinemax b-film or some other mainstream work and you see their real name in the credits. Excuse me Mrs. Einstein but don't cry about wanting your privacy and not wanting you're real name known then turn around and tell everyone your real name in "legitimate" work. That beef was aimed directly at those few.

So you can go up to them and say hello (whatever). What do they expect a big kiss in return??

Voyeur - I see what you're saying.

Some of those people (not all, but some) who use a different name for mainstream than in porn are using a 2nd fake name.
For example, if I went into mainsream, I could use Patricia Stewart. It's also not my real name, but that way it wouldn't be quite so obvious that the chick in the movie used to do facials in front of the camera on a regular basis! (Not that that's a bad thing.)

Jenna's one of the very few lucky ones who was accepted by the mainstream community as her persona that also includes being a porn star. Keep up the great work Jenna!

Just saw him in the old BBC 'I Claudius' - even his hair acted in those days.

I like to think that all porn girls are really called Brian. It's a funny name, possibly a parental error, and nothing to be ashamed of.
