Do any pornstars use their real names? It seems this has been asked before, but doing a search, I am not finding it. I was just curious who does (or did), and why they made the decision to do so.
Dyanna Lauren, although it sounds like a porn name, is her real name, if I recall correctly. I believe she chose to use it in an "I'm not ashamed" statement. Good for her.
Britbabe Bev Cocks uses her real name (she didn't think she could do better by inventing one ) and there are quite a few more British girls who do the same, but they are not blessed with such a good name. I think American girls are less prone to use their real names.
I remember when the Revlon model Cindy Crawford tried to prevent Cindy from using her name in porn. A lawsuit was filed, but thrown out of court the minute Cindy showed her IDs in court.
Kelly O'Dell's realfirst name is Kelly Nikki Dial's real first name is Nicole
In a buisness that attracts stalkers, I can't imagine why women would now use their real names. Most of the ones listed started in the '80s and early '90s when people weren't so concerned about that. Well, in the case of Janine she was in Penthouse .
How about Teri Weigel? She started in Playboy . Do they use real names?
Ron Jeremy ...his real name is Ron Jeremy Hyatt. Interestingly enough another actor in the 80s used the name Ron Hyatt but not to be mistaken he's not our Ronnie.
Heather Hunter...it's her real birth name.
Patrick Collins...I think his real name is Roscoe Bowltree according to the 1997 edition of Adam Film World Adult Video Guide.
Kay Parker...her birth name is Kay Taylor...but has an aka as Kay Taylor Parker which we can assume is an earlier married name she just didn't get rid of. Hedda Hopper comes to mind. Kept her ex husband's surname long after they divorced.

I love you. As a fan, I just thought I should mention that.
At Erotica L.A. I caught wind of Stormy's real first name:
But...being that I stand a good chance of meeting Stormy (possibly privately) at January's AVN's through my cousin's friend...I don't wanna run the risk of pissing her off, so I think i'll keep that under wraps until she gives the OK.
I know precisely two people in porn who are acting currently - both women - and while they're friends of mine and I know their real names, I'd never tell ANYBODY nor would I feel very comfortable seeing their names posted here. Point blank, I'd worry that someone would track them down and harm them. It happens. Sharon Mitchell was stalked and raped by a deranged fan, wasn't she? And in the 'mainstream,' one only has to look to Rebecca Schaefer or John Lennon to see how fans can harm someone they ostensibly idolize.
Television executive Brandon Tartikoff said something brilliant about how fans are more prone to approach stars they see on TV because TV is present in the home, unlike film, and a 27 inch screen shows the person's head at almost life size.
Porn, I suspect, would be even more dangerous because like it or not, for some people there is a false sense of intimacy that comes from watching someone have sex. They feel a sense of 'ownership' that doesn't really exist, and when that gets flustered, sometimes people get deranged. I don't want my friends hurt. Hence I cringe anytime I see a real name, so I get where Mark Davis is coming from.
This is not to say I don't comprehend why someone would pursue an adult actress. I'd actually love to date one - not just have sex with, but date. I've known a few, and I like their pragmatism, their honesty - if you really get to know them - and their humor. Porn girls are often hilarious. There's also the fact that jealousy is pretty much short-circuited; one shouldn't worry about her cheating if one accepts the fact she's going to have sex with other people: If she's got a 2 p.m. shoot Tuesday with Peter North and a 4 p.m. Friday shoot with Mr. Marcus and Mandingo, you know she's getting laid but it's also work. There's an honesty there that can make a love affair transcend a lot of the BS that sometimes sinks them. But pragmatically, not many actresses I know don't have boyfriends or girlfriends - and they all get hit on all the time...so I can't say I've ever tried to ask one out. If my one friend ever breaks up with her current boyfriend, I might...but that could seem weird. I try to think of her, too...and that, I guess is what I'd ask of people on this board:
Just because you can do something, doesn't mean it's right to do something. Porn people have families, friends and loved ones who care for them. Publishing their real names -even if they can be found easily - can be the first step for some crazed stalker to track them down and harm them. And if you find actress Amber X. Ginger sexy, for example, and love her movies - you're not doing her or yourself any good if you provide some crazed psycho with the means to harm her. That may mean no more films from her, and far LESS contact with all fans...but most important, you may be harming and altering irrevocably a human being.
The idea the thread started with was not to dig up the real names of performers, it was about performers whose stage names were the same as their real names. I agree that it would have been better to stick to that topic.
WHAT IN THE FUCK MAKES YOU THINK IT'S OK TO SPREAD THIS!! Just because it was posted on some other board doesn't make it ok to re-post on another board. Listen, I have had to deal with asshole fans "stalking" my g/f's. I have had the call at 2am when my girl was getting off set telling me that she thinks she's being followed..just to have to actually deal with the asshole who did NOT care that I was waiting at the curb for her. He continued with his "show me your feet bitch" with me standing right there...FORCING me to take action. Now we have to deal with the whole 2257 shit and their personal info being broadcast to every FAN that wants a photo set from whatever content provider. Thanks guys...fuck. How 'bout we post YOUR shit on these boards.
No kidding. My original post was wondering who uses their real names, not what are the real names of those trying to protect their privacy. I am not comfortable with the turn this thread has taken.
