Thank you very much. I took the actions and time needed to fix all of the issues. I am now able to handle life and shooting at same time. I'm 110% dedicated this time. Well, she just got married. She just posted a video on Twitter. Seems she had a crazy Vegas wedding. Boy, she is smashed to the gills in this video! ^^This is what Archangel does. They contract top talent for exclusives and then sit on scenes for months. I don't undestand, but I hope that their deal with Dakota is over soon, so she can shoot for other companies. She is one of my favorites, and I really miss seeing her new scenes. IMO, Archangel is shooting themselves in the foot on this one...as well as wasting Dakota's time and talent.
^ It seems a bit cargo-cultish to me, as in "Digital Playground, Vivid etc. used to contract girls, shoot lots of scenes with them and then release them very slowly over a long period of time", and Archangel is simply aping the concept without having much of an understanding of it, mainly a) you need the girls to actually be out there promoting themselves as contract stars, and b) the porn environment has changed massively since the days when that whole contract-star strategy was still an effective vehicle for studios.

I wonder how ArchAngel is doing thus far. It seemed like before the site launched, a bunch of us ADTers were clamoring for the site to open over on MimeFreak's thread. However, ever since the site actually launched, it seems like the interest in ArchAngel, not to mention MimeFreak himself, has waned. Except for a couple occassional posters on the MimeFreak Apprecation thread, there doesn't seem to be much, if any, interest in the studio and director nowadays.
^Don't mean to go off topic, but it seems to me that the website for Archangel took longer than expected to launch. A lot of other sites really took off in the meantime like Mason's HardX, DarkX, etc., as well as Tushy and Blacked. Archangel had Remy and Jada under contract. Jada's contract is over(and now she doesn't do anal anymore) and after the Remy deal fell apart, her content took forever to release. So now he's got Dakota, and once again...Since it is supposedly an IR contract, this shouldn't keep Dakota from shooting with other studios again, but who knows? Maybe she's locked down for the extent of the contract?
^^ What I've seen of the Archangel output looked pretty cookie-cutter to me, like a poor man's version of stuff that has been successful for other studios in the past, which is in line with the cargo cult impression I've got about their contracting approach. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Archangel folds a couple of years down the line, quite possibly among blame-shifting claims that the audience just didn't understand what they were trying to do. I realize that's a very negative view, but I just can't help but get the impression that Archangel is a case of artists trying to play at being a business, and that rarely goes well. I see porn from.more studios than and I can count. And if you think Arch Angel is "cookie cutter", I have to wonder what the hell you're watching. I'd definitely put AA among the top studios out there.
^^ Don't quote me on this, but I'm thinking that ArchAngel could also be somewhat tied in with "The Sex Factor" reality competition series, for which, according to a post by Buddy Hollywood in "The Sex Factor" ADT Topic, season 1 is to begin airing next month!
Not cookie-cutter as in "mass-produced Brazzers output", but as in "seems to try to ride the coattails of other people's successful work and styles". I dunno, I just don't see anything in the Archangel stuff that isn't being done better elsewhere. They're hardly the only studio to which that applies, of course, but those other studios don't engage in the same level of hype that Archangel does (or at least did, at the start). It's just some random studio as far as I'm concerned, which makes the whole exclusive contracts thing (which is what we were originally talking about) look very out of place altogether, even beyond the strange ways they seem to go about their contract stars business. Grand visions and lackluster output, that's my impression of AA in a nutshell. Anyway, I'll stop diverting the thread now, apologies to Dakota and her fellow fans. Dakota, really glad to see you back and doing well after your accident and that you've beat any drug issues you had. That is really fantastic! I also hope to see your DP scene soon, as that would be really great and I'm sure you did great and hope you had a lot of fun with that! I do have a future request you, if that's okay. I really enjoyed your earlier scenes, when you had the shaved smooth look and would love to see more scenes from you again with that look which looked amazing on you! ^Not really. I put up my review of this feature last week. I make reference to her statement at the end of the disk that this release, shot back in February, was more or less a swan song for the fans. She point blank said that she's taking time off to get her head together, whether it be 1 month, 2 months, or 6 months or more.
Dakota Goes Nuts is pretty good, although I am not really into IR and gangbangs, but anything with her is awesome. Doesn't she also have a new shoot coming out this week at Holed.com? Love this gal!!
Somehow overlooked this message; sorry to hear that. Yes, smart move take a break and when/if she is ready to come back, I know alot of us would welcome that. I for one, love her getting nasty on screen, but certainly not at the expense of her *not* getting her "head together"...sounded like Lily Labeau was going through some things awhile back and now she is newly back..hope the same for Dakota...they are people like anyone else and certainly prefer them being nasty on screen because they ENJOY doing so.
Hasn't Dakota basically said she's taking a break to get her head together around a dozen times? She's moved across country so many times in the past few years that she's eligible to be a resident in about 10 states. I loved her for her first year and I'd even say she was my favorite girl for a while but the drama was just beyond what you can even expect in the porn world and the constant begging for money using social media was just annoying and if you love animals, I'm not sure how you can't feel badly for the dogs she used to have but was never mature enough to take care of. After a certain amount of times of saying you need to get your head straight and take care of your health only to come back and repeat the same things you were clearly doing wrong before, you lose credibility. I wish no one unhappiness but she's old enough now to be responsible for her life and she should just get out of porn and not come back. She's literally got way too much baggage and no ability to deal with the stresses that go with being in porn whilst dealing with the emotional stuff she's got going on. Seems like she has come back for the attention even more than money since she's not really even done much work and always seems to be trying other things that don't involve her having sex on camera and she never seems to be able to do those things either. If she returns, it will very likely mean we'll see the same patterns return again. For a year or so, she was for me at least, the hottest girl in porn. In fact, with so many people girls now making porn and so much content out there, I pretty much only go back for some of Dakota's scenes. I wish she'd done more before the tattoos and her first round of meltdowns. She did the innocent blonde look better than anyone, her eyes are amazing and her body was perfect.
