Mixed is the preferred terminology for someone who is mixed. Which we don't even know because light skinned black people exist with two black parents.

Dudah , I have been using this term for a long time because I see it being quoted in many articles .
I did some checking again however and found many articles where it is mentioned .

If you´d told me that it was acceptable until the 80´s , I would reflect , but a change of acceptance within 8 years ?

Besides , I also looked it up on wiki ( yes , there are better sites ) and I coudn´t find any hint that it was offensive .
I did it quickly though . Something might have escaped me .

Also , " mixed " is highly ambiquous , and can be a mix of many ethnicities .

Mulatto is an antiquated term and it is considered to be offensive. Ask a biracial person, one that has a mix of black and white ancestry, and most will tell you that it is an offensive term. I have a biracial brother-in-law, nephew, and niece, and none of them like the term. Besides, it doesn't matter if you think it is offensive or not. If the biracial person that the term "mulatto" is intended for perceives it to be offensive then it's offensive. Their perception is their reality.

Ok , I will think about it .

I will probably edit the title , and maybe put " half black " , dark " or another term .

I took my time and used the search engine and the term " half-black " has been used by many users recently .

( Btw , as it has been said previously , she could be from 2 Afro-American parents , yes , I get that there are many shades . But I am talking about a type of colour that is liked by many porn fans , which happens to be darker than a Latina but a lighter colour than a Sub-Saharan type . It´s just practical for finding these kind of models easily , without doing a whole background reasearch .... I do it sometimes , though )

I´ll take the cue about the interracial thread on ADT.
I almost never go there , because it is so fixed on Black males .

I am more interested in Black women , and I don´t see much discussion happening about how to improve the situation for Afro-American female porn models . ( at least when I lurked there last time ) .
Same elsewhere , too much talk on Twitter about which White / Asian etc... females will get a scene with a Black male , but not enough talk comparatively about Black females .

Even so , I am aware of the general argumentations and hot topics surrounding this issue .

As I see , the big categories have retained the old names :

Asian , White , Latina ( I´d prefer Mestizo ) and Black .
Maybe "Black " will be replaced , I don´t know , or maybe half-Black .....

Note :
Lots of models ( I don´t dare to say most , bcuz I didn´t do statistics about it ) that are half-Black half Latina start their career saying they are Latinas ( There are some reasons for that ) .
Later in their career , I see them giving more info by changing their label as including or reverting to Black ethnicity .

Examples : Sahara Leone and Violet Smith .

There's a thread in the Press Releases area about Black Performers speaking out about Racism in the industry that has more of a focus on female performers, you might be able to check that out consistently without seeing the normal debates on the topic. Generally speaking, black will probably stay as a reference to African-American performers, but mixed performers will probably either call themselves mixed or choose one of their ethnicities to center on (with the second being more likely than the first).
