Then I checked that all my recent DP DVDs are only on DVD5. Why does such a major studio which was always on the frontline of technical progress make such a step back? A sure way of checking is to put the DVD in your DVD-ROM drive and see how much data it has. A DVD-5 can hold nearly two hours of video at the bit-rates most movies are authored at. [Link] |

For example, until last year Evil Angel DVDs were released by Paradise Entertainment - and these DVDs were not identical with the original ones. They regularly use almost 1.5 layers (6+ gigabytes) for movies lasting about 1:20. Even with trailers, movies of this length could easily be put onto a DVD-5. [Link] |

Or you could upload a scan of the cover of your DVD (for example here http://www.imagevenue.com) so we could have a look to see what's wrong. Btw, is the text on the cover in German or English?
