Having said that, there are quite a few Films from that period on DVD that have outstanding image clarity, they used a better DVD rendering process, it all depends who the lowest bidder was weather you got high quality transfer or substandard, I'm just hypothesizing here, I have no idea what goes on behind the scenes with DVD production, just my theory, in my own experience on my home computer the video editing software which ever brand it is, the rendering process kills image quality if converting from MP4 to MPEG for example, it's some conversion process that is killing image quality while burning to disk, again that's my guess, I have no direct knowledge what's going on in porn DVD production outfits.

The absolute worst DVD's on the market today are widescreen, they have the absolute worst image quality, I've gotten away from buying modern porn DVD's on account of it, I don't understand what the problem is but if you look at a regular Hollywood widescreen film it doesn't look that bad, but porn widescreen DVD's are horrible, what's going on here? I don't buy them anymore, in fact what I have purchased over the years that number in the hundreds if not thousands, I recently concluded it was all a waste of money because of the pathetic image quality, sometimes they have written on the box "shot in HD", what a joke, yes it was shot in HD but not displayed on the disk in HD unless it's a blu ray, do you know anybody who has a blu ray porn collection? Me neither.

If the industries would just press better quality standard widescreen DVD's is all I need, I don't need 4K, just wan't a sharp image without the out of focus looking fuzzy image from most widescreens now, many of my 4/3 rez vids from the 00's have much sharper image quality than the typical 16/9's today, what the Hell is going on? They just don't give a shit I guess.

Some of the worst image quality DVD's I have are from Filly Films, also Some of the older Abby Winters were bad too, and Nubile Films were absolutely horrible, I purchased one Sex Art DVD that was so bad I vowed never again, but an older Bellezza DVD was as sharp as a whip, so the Bellezza people did it right, why are the other big brand producers putting out terrible DVD's when an amateur has picture perfect DVD's?

You porn companies are doing a lousy job with these wide screen dvd's man, what can I say, have one of your reps go down to the Hollywood factory and see what they're doing maybe learn a thing or two.

Speak of the devil, little story about a dvd from Europe I purchased awhile back, about a year ago or more while browsing one of those tube sites you can't mention here, which I don't visit anymore because of age verification BS, I found a really hot looking lez scene that looked like it was shot in Germany, the girls were wearing dirndl dresses with mountains in the background, man I had to find this thing, of course the tube site gave no information about it, I wen't on a tear on the net looking for this scene, what studio was it? Who were the models? was there a dvd? By the grace of God I found it, from a movie titled Heidi: Das Luder von der Alm #14, translation: Heidi, The Slut From The Alps 14, or bitch from the Alps whatever, low and behold I found it on Jeedoo, ordered it, when it arrived my heart was fluttering from the excitement waiting to see this thing, put it in my PC, ripped it to my HD, now for the moment of truth, I'm going to finally see what I worked so hard to find in all it's glory, here are a few screen grabs...

The first thing you notice if you can see it the image quality is extremely poor, but the worst thing is this is supposed to be a 16:9 film, but it's being displayed in 4:3, so when they cut this dvd they fucked up the aspect ratio, I mean WTF man!
I've had enough of this shit, this is fucking uncalled for, a fucking rip off, I really wanted to see the Alps in HD!

You can see the box images are clear as a bell, but the movie is awful, not the content of the movie, the stars are wonderful, looks like the had a lot of fun making this series, too bad image quality is so poor.
