Both the G5 and the one listed above have a little button on top that lets you switch the DPI "on the fly" in any game. It's great for when you are playing a game and need twitch reflexes for combat mode, but then want less precision for things like surfing the textures looking for clues. Even better if you like to play Sniper roles in a FPS. If you are using a spray-and-pray gun, you stay at a higher DPI and can run and gun with precision. Then you switch to scope or sniper mode, flip the DPI way down and the scope won't be all over the place. Simply awesome...best mouse I've ever owned. I am getting tired of that. The idea of switching DPI on the fly is hugely cool as far as I'm concerned. Laser is a must. I have given up on ball mice and I'm not going back. A few weeks ago the Logitech one I was using mysteriously stopped working. I think I did something to short out the cord like resting a monitor on it accidentally. The only positive thing about the microsoft mouse is that it is very light weight. [Link] |

It's probably weird but I am the only one I know with no cell phone or credit cards and I am going to keep it that way till I am forced to change. Many have pointed out the possible advantages of credit cards to me but unless cash stops being accepted that is how I will be paying. EDIT: I didn't mean to sound so grumpy, Bob. Don't get me wrong, it sounds like a great mouse but I don't mess with wireless. This extends into other areas of my life, I have never had a cordless phone or a cellular.
