I'm giving the movie a 4.5-star overall rating, but I'm not sure it's what jb69 is looking for. Hopefully my review will help him decide for himself. As with all Daddy Oohhh! movies, the action here is decidedly sex positive--it's all about hidden wishes fulfilled. I wouldn't say the scenes are "cuddly," but the performers do tend to smile and enjoy some good-natured laughter at various points (especially towards the end of the scenes). There's quite a bit of kissing; the blowjobs are outstanding and often rather deep (but never rough). The angles for a couple of the anal sex segments are inexplicit. There's a great view of the dildoing action for the fireman (P.J. Dixon), though.

The men are extremely hot; there's not a dud in the bunch. For those who like interracial action, one performer is Latin and one is Middle Eastern. This was the "partnered sex" debut for at least five of the cast members (which is incredible--they've really done a good job). Two of them have now gone on to perform in productions for Titan Media.

Hmmmm……What should I say? Not to be too Clintonesque about it, but, I guess it depends on what your definition of “nasty” is. When you say leather, I assume you mean not just the attire but sex that includes at least some of the following: dominance, S&M, bondage, fantasy and role playing—like cops and captives or other scenes, and other forms of verbal and physical stimulation which run the gamut and which shall remain nameless. I assume it’s not just the look you're after. Sting: A Taste for Leather is a good example of what I’d call the “white frat boys dressing up in leather” approach to leather-look porn. I’m not disparaging that stuff; it can be damn hot on its own terms. But a lot of times I want the real deal.

I wouldn’t be too quick to dismiss out of hand any normal porn guys who appear in more basic gay porn. Some of these guys have a genuine leather attitude they display when they get suited up and some have a not-so-secret other life. Jason Branch and Lance Gear, for example. You’re aware of the flogging scene in Fallen Angel III in which Lance is meted out his punishment. Well, he and Jason Branch have done several films for Tom “Ropes” McGurk and Grapik Arts (studio) in which they deal out some considerable attitude of their own. I have found these films to be a mixed bag, quality-wise. Both of these guys are outstanding at their craft and hot as hell as masters but the films are often otherwise. Sometimes the camera work is outstanding; sometimes it is downright fuzzy and too dark. McGurk’s newer stuff has a rougher edge and has more sex than some of his older material; I like it better. With these and other films of the genre, one always has to consider how much actual sex, as in penetration or cum shots, one is looking for. Some may have none at all. But for those into this material, the sexual aspects of the dominant/submissive relationship are as much about the mental as the physical.

Further down (or is it up?) the continuum, there is stuff like Slave Workshop Hamburg (also Boston and LA). These really do not have any big named stars and really are not, as they say, for the faint of heart. Their production values are not stellar. They worked for me but you gotta really like this stuff.

I also find some of the other big-studio leather stuff exciting, even if it has an element of artificiality to it. Leather Obsession fits that category. It was one of the first leather videos I owned and I still find it hot to this day. Thom Katt is very serviceable in leather and Joe Romero, an oldie but a goodie, has done several leather films. It is available on DVD and cheap, I might add. It spawned (pun intended) a series but I haven’t seen them all.

You hit on two of my all-time favorites. The Link series is really hot. And I think the Fallen Angel series is just about my favorite because it has the great guys in great action along with the quality of Titan production.

I also liked the Prowl series . Prowl 3: Genuine Leather is my fave of these. Colton Ford in leather on the cover is a dick popper. But his scene with Blake Harper, while hot, is really the least “genuinely leather” of any. The other scenes are more truly leather in the dominating sense.

Older stuff I first fell in love with included Falcon’s Abduction series. The second and especially third entries have some pretty rough stuff, if you can get past the perfectly coiffed hair and gym bodies doing it. However, to my knowledge these are not available on DVD. I also loved the Christopher Rage videos, also long unavailable, but they are gradually being brought back by Raging Stallion; see my post on that. Incidentally, all three in the Abduction series were directed by Steven Scarborough who also did Skuff . I also liked his films Acres of Ass, 1 and 2

Since I brought up some specific names, I can’t leave without mentioning one of my favorite leather sex pigs, Donnie Russo. Not always leather attired; doesn’t matter. I’ll watch just about anything he’s in. Whatever it is, it is bound to be nasty. He is in the Boot Black DVDs and TLA has the pair for a decent enough price so I might get them. If anybody has seen these, let us know what’s up. Also, if anyone has any opinions on Raging Stallion’s Bound Beaten and Banged ; Manholes and More Manholes ; or Red Star with Will Clark; please post.

That’s probably more than you wanted to read after just asking for a few recommendations. Problem is, recommending regular porn is easier. Everybody likes a good hot bottom getting fucked by some muscle stud and vice versa. In this arena, however, likes and dislikes can vary widely. As I said, this is just one gay man’s opinion; my tastes are my own. I’d be interested in hearing others’ thoughts and suggestions. If I think of anything else, I’ll post again.

I noticed over at GayDVDEmpire, they had Prowl 1 & 2 Set for only $33... you think that's a good deal? Are those full length vidoes?

I'll have to wait for YogaGrrl's review on X-Pressed desires. Some of the pictures do really look promising, but I'm just not sure yet if it's what I'm looking for.

BTW, while looking over some leather video descriptions, I've come across a term I've never heard of before: edging/edgeplay. Anyone know what that means? Here's some context:

My biggest problem with Skuff 2: It's too damn bright! Where are the dark seedy corners, the dimly lit corridors, the smokey orgy rooms? The sets were too brighty lit, and overall just too damn clean. Skuff 2 has a ZERO sleaze factor. You do have guys in leather having sex, but the sex wasn't even that great.

And to top it off, there's this guy (who is in 2 scenes) whose asshole has been so used over the years, all he has to do is spread his cheeks, and his hole gapes like 2 inches, so you can see his nice goopy red colon.
