Hi All -

I really wish their was an IMDB type list for porn features. Can anyone recommend me anything good to watch? Perhaps even with a link where I can purchase it? I use Adult dvd empire but if theirs a better niche site for feature films than Im open to it as well (if thats ok with the rules)

You really should be more specific, as in the kind of plots that you enjoy, and periods you are looking for.

For current feature directors, I think that Ricky Greenwood, Kay Brandt, and Shine Louise Houston are my favorites. For the way back when times, Radley Metzger is really hard to beat. Bob Chinn made some really fun films (he was behind the Johnny Wadd series) and Cecil Howard is another, like Metzger, that is hard to beat.

To add, I have an EA sub and watched the Dog Walker tonight. I really enjoyed it. Although the plot didn't make sense up until the end and even then I still had some leftover questions. I guess the essence was Tito moving from this world to the next but still some of the storyline could have been better explained. For instance, why did the mob boss take Tito's gun in the desert scene and shoot himself??

John Leslie's Dog Walker segued into other titles like Fresh Meat, The Voyeur and Drop Sex---all for Evil Angel.

Early entries of those films tend to be best. I did not care for all the Ron Jeremy stuff in Fresh Meat but loved the second one.

Leslie also did some terrific features for a different studio prior to these releases.

Leslie's Curse of the Catwoman, Chamleons and Chamleons: Not a Sequel are all excellent as well.

I'd also recommend the porn comedies of Chuck Vincent like Misbehavin' and Jack and Jill, Ron Sullivan's comedies and Anthony Spinelli's Talk Dirty to Me. Spinelli's melodramas like Sex World and Easy are also top drawer. Alex de Renzy's comedies like Babyface and Pretty Peaches although the humour can be quite dark.

Many of the films you mentioned are available on Blu-Ray, and look amazing in that format.

I'd love to see "Jack and Jill" get a Blu-Ray release. It's one of the titles that got me interested in vintage adult cinema. Jack Wrangler is incredibly charismatic in his role. It features many great performances, and arousing sex scenes.

I'd love a Blu-Ray box set with "Talk Dirty to Me" (1980), "Talk Dirty to Me II" (1982), and the alternate sequel (and superior film) "Nowhere to Hide" (1981). These are all high quality, highly enjoyable adult films. "Talk Dirty to Me II" has not been treated well so far by the home video market, being mostly available in the softcore cable version (until the final scene). "Nowhere to Hide" is one of the best adult films I have ever seen. Watching it, it was the only time I have 'gasped' at the drama of an adult film. It's an A-grade buddy picture with a moving story and great explicit scenes.

Other films I'd recommend (that would also look great on Blu-Ray) are "F" (1980) and "Exposed" (1981) both featuring standout performances from John Leslie.

I am kind of in the same boat. I guess I need some new stuff to watch as well... I love 80s/90s comedies or parodies. The more lesbians, the better. The more story the better, preferably the more naughty the better, but by naughty I mean more sneaky. Apparently now days, when firing up the ol' search engines, naughty means either brutal, or bizarre. I mean... To a degree, bizarre is fine, but I don't really wade too deep in those waters usually. I like unusual, like 'Party Doll A-Go-Go' and 'Nightdreams III' type movies. That being said, any one have any suggestions?

^---I seem to remember director Bruce Seven did a bunch of girl/girl stuff from the period you mentioned.

There's something called

Ghost Lusters

that might meet your criteria.

I have not seen most of this stuff.

All great suggestions, would love a blu of F and it is pretty amazing how much chemistry Wrangler has in his straight scenes as the Wrangler doc indicates he wasn't really into the ladies.

Some of these are over 40 years old :)

Are there any NEW films with good plots? And by "good," I don't mean "dark." Something more in the lighter, easygoing mood?

The 'Golden Age' of porn refers to the age of narrative porn features.

For more modern features Eddie Powell's Romance series a few years ago like Lost and Found as fun, light romantic comedies. GGG has praised the recent Deeper.com feature MUSE although that is more dramatic than comedic I believe.

I recommended the works of Kay Brandt and Ricky Greenwood as current directors, both are actively making films now.

Slightly older, (but within the last 20 years) Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre is a comedy that is excellent as well.

Teenage Lesbian should also suit your needs.
