The time has come to replace our old VHS collection with DVDs and I would be grateful for some recommendations.

We like films with reasonably high production values (NOT gonzo) and a reasonable plot. The sex should be as varied as possible.

Of our old collection, "Pretty Peaches" is probably the best of the sort of mix we like although now rather tame. Entertaining "plot", good sex with some variety (enema etc -although more variety would have been nice).

So far, I have picked up "The Fashionistas" where we seem to have struck gold. I suspect it wil be difficult to match, never mind beat.

So - recommendations please for quality films with reasonable plots, and great sex - preferably including a variety across the board. Ideally watersports, serious S & M, whatever I might not have thought of... Anything, in fact, except kids.

Excellent choice on the FASHIONISTAS. It's one of my favorites. Here are some recommendations that include a cool plot and hot, variety sex:

1) Good Time Charlee & Loose Screw are two Jerome Tanner comedies that feature some great scenes.
2) Bordello Blues (Wicked)
3) Gen Sex (Wicked)
4) Finesse (Sin City)
5) Shakespeare Revealed (Vivid)
6) the Pin-up (Vivid)
7) Coming of Age #1 (Jill Kelly)
8) Getting Even (Metro)
9) a Devil's Tale (Adam & Eve)
10) Women of the World (Adam & Eve)
11) Unforgettable (Adam & Eve)
12) Big Bottom Sadie (Elegant Angel)
13) Anal Czech-Up (Dreamland) is an excellent little known adult movie with Steve Hooper about a British man visiting a Czech resort. The sex scenes in this movie are HOT.
14) I Dream of Jenna (Vivid) is another favorite of mine. The final scene is not to be missed. Be sure to check out the director's commentary track on the DVD.
15) Forced Entry (Extreme Associates)
16) Mason's Sexual Disorder (Platinum X Pictures) is my all time favorite adult title. I would consider watching Mason's Dirty Trixx #2 (which doesn't have a consistent plot) before in order to understand the story better.

NOTE: All of these titles are traditionally suitable to view with a partner. The last two I would only recommend viewing with a partner if you like watching rough sex together. FORCED ENTRY has a horrific plot combined with serious rough sex. I only recommend seeing the director's cut of this title. The plot in SEXUAL DISORDER deals with amorous lust and obsession and each of the scenes are strong & hardcore. Enjoy.

Many many thanks for this list and for taking the time to put it together.

I have been ploughing through the reviews and, so far, "Big Bottom Sadie" comes out on top (if you will pardon the expression!)

Now all we need is something with similar values and some watersports, fisting and anything else not covered between "BBS" and "The Fashionistas".

It is surprising how difficult this is. Or are we really unusal in wanting some plot and an eclectic variety of sex (from vanilla to hard and all points between)?

I know most of us have something we particulary like to see. I like watching spanking. But I am not sure I would want to watch "90 minutes of hot spanking action". I think it would get like aversion therapy after the first half hour :-)

So many films seem to concentrate on one, often very narrow, area.

Or is the "we" which puts us outside the general market?

Oh well - whatever. Any more recommendations gratefully received.

I haven't seen it myself, but some of the people who've reviewed Fashionistas have also liked Ass Collector.

Ass Collector is very good; excellent production values, a passable story, and hot scenes in Rocco style. It's one of my favorite Evil Angel discs (behind The Fashionistas, of course).

That pretty much limits your choice to European porn. But then, the expression "similar values" has me all confused, so I will refrain from giving more concrete pointers, as usual. Not to worry, I am sure that others will pick up the ball where I dropped it.

First of all, I suggest you to put your hands on both "Rocco's way to love" and "Kelly's way to love".
Just be sure to put your hands on some edition published by continental Europe publishers (ie Dutch Shiva or Italian EPM) and not on the USA or UK versions, which have the golden showers scene cut out.

There are a lot of plotted movies with fistings and/or golden showers, but usually they are German productions or, in a minor number, even Italian ones. However, I frankly doubt that those DVDs have an english dialogue or english undertitles option, so that will spoil you the plot part, anyway. Unless you understand German or Italian, that is.

Welcome to the forum BCSD. Two things:
1) You might want to consider getting a DVD recorder and migrating your VHS collection to DVD; and
2) most European fisting/watersports videos will be in PAL format, which will not play on the standard American DVD player. Here's a link to a discussion of DVD formatting.

By "similar values" I meant production values - sorry for the confusion.

I mentioned fisting and watersports simply because I couldn't think of much else at the time - I really just wanted to suggest as much variety as possible.

I have transferred the best of our VHS collection using a DVD burner, but I was seizing the opportunity to renew the collection - it's all getting a bit dated (and even stretched!)

Many thanks for the suggestions so far. Big Bottomed Sadie has now been ordered. I have ordered from a UK supplier who swears it is uncut - we shall see.

"Elements of Desire" and "Les Vampyres" look worth consideration, but there is still a lot of oplvr's list to mull over first.
