I don't know because I thought they'd gone out of business a while ago. I know that I haven't seen advertised a new Red Light movie on the site I normally purchase my dvd's.

I'm making a guess here that it's because the adult biz is down 20% last year, according to AVN articles I've read. I pay for my porn because I want to continue to watch the porn biz make better quality titles. While I enjoyed watching the old loops in the porn shops years ago, and then video tapes became available, followed by DVD's, it was the guys who paid to see those old loops, videos, and DVD's that helped producers buy better equipment and make the kind of excellent, clear, HD quality titles we see today. We get what we pay for. It's as simple as that.
They've been on the ventilator for a long time. But still doing better than Anabolic. An amazing collapse: from having every single top male talent signed to an exclusive deal as owner/shooter/talent to losing almost all of them and having to deal with lawsuits. But hey .. that's porno!
I hope not. I still actually like Redlight. They're better than 75% of the other crap out there. They have good directors (Mark Wood, Michael Stefano and Juan Cuba) or at least I think they're still there. They just need to stop with this genre nonsense (geysers, foot fetish and creampies don't cut it), get back to basics...boy on girl sex, occasional anal and cum in the mouth with swallowing every now and then. The key is to get better more recognizable female talent. There so much talent available, I could make up casts for days with hot girls.

Ok, I get it. The Red Light of today is different from the Red Light of years past. I still believe they put out a good product. Twenty dollars a pop, I know what I'm getting, and I'm rarely disappointed. Mark Wood and Michael Stefano are good directors/performers. Maybe they are just releasing fewer films, but putting more money into the films they are producing. Cum Spewing Holes had a solid cast. Natalia Rossi, Kaci Starr, Missy Woods, Chastity Lynn and Lexi Diamond. Nothing wrong with that group, nothing wrong with that film. I hope Red Light hangs in there. I hope the whole industry hangs in there.
^Yes, I agree. I still feel like with a few minor adjustments they can be back near the top. I still love the Addicted to Boobs series. Last Cum Swapping Sluts had Gracie and Brooke together (too bad Alex Gonz was the guy though).
My favorite Red Light District series were Cum Swapping Sluts and 1 Dick 2 Chicks. Both series have been through several directors and I am a big fan largely due to the earlier volumes of both series. However, I think people should check out 1 Dick 2 Chicks 6; John Strong directs and does a much better job than I would have expected. I will be the first to admit to not caring for his earlier product because it is too heavy on the rough sex and degradation for my tastes. Also, he used to seem a bit churlish. But this movie is different. The lingerie outfits and makeup are excellent and there is plenty of footage of the girls making out before the guy enters. The guys do a good job of doing what they are supposed to do without being overbearing or annoying. It seems that John has tailored his approach for this movie to make it similar to the other volumes of this series. I would like to see more of this series. The Raincoater's POV series is also still going strong and is being directed by John in a similar manner.
^I don't believe John Strong directs for them anymore. I think he's directing for a studio called Freaky Empire(?) now. I hope they will continue the Raincoater's line, but I think some of us just grew tired of JS.
You are correct that John now directs for Freaky Empire. I checked out Breastology and was quite impressed. It is similar in style to 1 Dick 2 Chicks 6, as I described above, in its strengths. It's also very long (2 DVDs)and has extensive tease sequences.

Red Light District is still very much around. I think like most other studios though, production schedules are reduced due to the reduced DVD sales. Not many studios are making the 1 movie a week that they used to.
I hope RLD hangs in there. Hey, I love the top shelf product of Elegant Angel and Jules Jordan, but I also have an appreciation for studios like Red Light, Combat Zone etc.
Redlight finally has a decent movie coming I love Jennifer, don't really care for the rest of the cast. But it's a step in the right direction. I don't get why Elegant Angel is so popular. Other than all these first anals they're nothing special. I prefer a good RLD release to an EA release any day.

I'd bet they're out of business. Too bad, I still remember the times back in 03-05 when they were one of my favourite companies in porn. Guess they've made some bad decisions the pas 4 years or so.
Even if they did not make bad decisions, a "perfect storm" has hit the industry and only the strongest of the strong are doing well in this business environment.
