If not, I wonder if anyone has any thoughts/ideas on the matter. For as long as I can remember I have always had a strong anal (heterosexual) fetish - no others - and I sometimes ponder where this might originate from. Is it something that I was just born with and was bound to be focused on in later life, or have environmental factors that I have experienced since being born influenced my direction towards this fetish? I think Freud talked about an 'anal' stage of development though I'm not sure if this has anything to do with having an anal fetish or not. If there is anyone out there who would like to comment I'd be really interested to hear what you had to say. PS. Please feel free to remark upon your own fetishes/ ones other than my own! [Link] |

For example, think about something you decided to do today. In all likelihood you made a conscious (maybe without realizing it) decision to do whatever it was you decided to do. That's psychology in action my friend, and everyone of us makes numerous decisions every day. Do you actually know anything about psychology? It's very easy to dismiss something which you know little or nothing about. One other point I'd make is this. Those things that people completely reject out of hand - as seems to be the case with you and psychology - are sometimes the things that those people are scared shitless of facing up to/acknowledging. Is this the case with you? I - like a lot of people - could probably do with a number of good sessions with a shrink. Will I do it? No, not yet. Why? Because I'm petrified of what might come out as a result. PS. Thanks lindi (again) and Loraine, if you're reading this. I ordered my copy this morning. Hope it's not too much of a hard read! I don't seem to manage with those so well any more. |
