HD remasters for a bunch of their scenes would be nice, I think I've seen a few scenes on clips4sale in HD quality which was unexpected.
A lot of famous girls shot some scenes for them early on in their careers and some underrated girls with short careers. Also had reliable male talent like a young Johnny Sins and Julian Rios.
I don't think any of those sites exist anymore on their own so no idea if there are already HD scenes on a new network.
Any of the films I grew up renting on VHS from 1985-1995 would be fantastic remastered in HD! I bought some Golden Age ones from Vinegar Syndrome & Distribpix but always looking to add more.
Not to derail the thread too much but remastering older movies is something that is often doomed before it begins. I suspect it's possible to clean up an older movie where you basically fix what time has done to the print but it won't increase it's resolution so much as remove some of the static. It would likely require access to more than one source and a shitload of time to do it but I think it's possible. If the movie was shot on 35mm celluloid, the print is pristine and and you have access to it then you could create a digital HD version of that movie but if you don't have access to the master and are limited to either a VHS or DVD version of that movie then you can't do that. You have to understand that standard resolution for a DVD is 480p so it's impossible to make it 720p or let alone 1080p because you don't have the pixels. The few sites that claim to remaster their older videos usually trick people because what they do is significantly crop the size of the video when it's at an higher resolution which is not the same as changing a 480p into a 720p video.
Now if someone wanted to clean up older videos or God Willing release some of those movies that have been lost to time then my list would be gigantic.
I agree. The only way (I think) to remaster is to film the movies with film, not video tape which I believe is what most movies were recorded on in the mid-80s and later. Early digital downloads from Buttman's site were very small QuickTime videos. You'd have to download a dozen or so clips of each scene. Remarkable for the time.
Fawn Miller is also an all-time favorite of mine. Her scene in this movie is what got me hooked on tittyfucking, hence my user name. I made a looping clip of her getting tittyfucked along with the messy ending. I watched it a few times a week. Just wish it was in HD. Also wish she stuck around longer.
Cleaning up movies from the video age is possible, but will never be HD. As Pat362 noted, their original resolution wasn't even as high as 720. For instance, The Adventures of Buttman was remastered by Evil Angel for the DVD release. It was shot on Betacam, the resolution of the original footage is 480p, so the DVD is as good as it gets. Many of the old shot on video movies could look better than they do now as they are mastered off of sources with a lower dpi than the masters were (VHS was 250i so the dubbing masters didn't have to be 480p) but can never look better than the source material*. Old shot on films are being remastered in high definition slowly. Vinegar Syndrome, Distribpix/Command Cinema, Massacre Video, and Code Red have all been releasing Blu-rays with high definition masters of old shot on film movies. Vinegar Syndrome has even released one classic on UHD as of now.
*There are folks who will tell you that there are programs that will create HD masters from non-HD source material, however, you aren't creating an HD master with those programs. Those programs analyze the image and guess as to what should go there for a higher pixel count.
You aren't creating an HD remaster, you are creating a best guess image.
A 480p image has 408,960 pixels. A 1080p image has 2,073,600 pixels.
When you run a program to upscale an image from 480p to 1080p, the image has 1,664,640 computer-generated pixels. In other words, more of what you are looking at is computer-generated than real.
These programs are best guess. They analyze what is there and try to recreate it in "finer" detail. It isn't the same as native 1080p.
I know but you may be disappointed to learn some viewers don't care if something isn't native HD or the best looking version it can possibly be.
Videophiles will pull their hair when a Hollywood studio cropped somethings that was originally 4:3 fullscreen to 16:9 widescreen because there are countless idiots out there who think black bars on the sides = bad
A lot of 4K Blu-rays also scrub away grain (and detail) with DNR because some idiots think grain = bad also
TL;DR even if fake 1080p HD, some people are happy to have it vs a lower resolution
-deinterlaced -frame rate to 60p -upscale to 720p -Blu-ray -10Mbps bitrate minimum

This is a very interesting topic.
There's a movie from the 70's called "The Ecstasy Girls". There's a BDSM scene with Jamie Gillis and Serena. It was the first porn I saw that made me say "OMG!! If there doing this there must be other people like me that get turned on by this". Anyway, that scene to this day is still one of my ATF's. The issue with that scene is it's very dark and grainy. The movie was remastered and some of the tube sites have it, but that scene is mostly cut out and it's killing me cause it's the only scene in the movie I'm interested in.
I'm trying to find out who remastered it and where I can buy and see if they have a uncut version of it. Any recommendations would be much appreciated.
Which site are you watching it on. I'm not aware it was.
