I remember getting that terrible phone call from Joey Silvera like it was yesterday. The industry had a memorial for John and I had put together a video showcasing his artwork, his music and his acting abilities. Kevin has another new movie coming out called Crack Fuckers and the inspiration for the title/movie comes from John Leslie (RIP),his photo is shown at the start of the trailer with the caption "Inspired by John Leslie" this is followed by the caption "The Original Crack Fucker" which is a nice touch from Kevin. As for Leslie the stuff he was doing for a decade and a half for Elegant Angel was some of the best American Porn available. The camera work was usually great, and he shot in a very almost artistic way with his voyeur perspective ever present hence one of his series titles. And if you are old enough to have been watching this stuff for over 30 years Leslie was one of those iconic male performers. He was fucking this black chick who's name escapes in a mid 80's flick (I can look it up) and I was watching it in a room with about a half dozen other people, and everybody was stone silent. We were all about 19, and you could cut the tension in that room with knife. From a quick google search Bridget Monet became a doctor. I did not dig much beyond that. He comes across as intelligent, happy, secure and a warm person. Very much a rebuttal to the cliches of porn. Anyone who is a fan should seek that out (believe it is still available on Netflix).
