It a shame that no black male or female performer didn't win anything this year. Well the AVN Award doesn't care about black permformer but these black companies like WCP, Black Ice and other they should boycott it next year. Lucky we have the Urban X Awards to thank. ^ What about the "Best Double Penetration Scene"? I was pleasently surprised by that one, even though I have never seen it. And also "Phatty Girls 9" and "Black Ass Master"? I also gotta give a "whats up!!!" to the "Best All-Girl Series" award.

Well I am upset that no black perfomrer wen't even nomiess for any Award. The AVN Award have overlooked black performer over the years and like Jay-Z who boycott the Grammy if he isn't nomiess for an award. Edited by - The Mac on 1/10/2010 5:10:25 AM

bangbros best site , are u kidding me !! just because bangbros interracts with people outside porn , they put non porn people in their scenes !! is this beacause of that !! lmfao to avn , avn awards based on sort of contacts or special relationships that they have in porn industry !! for example bree olson , avn really likes her , every year she could win an award , !! there are many girls out there who have done some excellent scenes , but no avn dont know her , or never heard of her !! reality kings should win that !!
Damn...he sounds AWFUL familiar...so... 1. The Mac = deactivated user, Vivid Suck. Can someone PLEASE deactivate this broken record again, for all our sake? 2. I'm suprised that Tori Black won. I don't think her "Q" rating is as high some may think. The casual porn fame has no clue who she is, and even some die-hards may know who she, but have never seen one of her scenes. I think either Jenna Haze,Jesse Jane, or Ashlynn Brooke should have won.
If girls like Andi Anderson and Phoenix Marie were not been nominated, I am not surprised that performer of the year is a girl, who did only few anal scenes. I can not agree with this win but anyway Tori Black is a good girl. I think this is a big advance for her. I hope she will be more extreme this year. I will wait for some creampies too. Edited by - riograndeler on 1/10/2010 12:41:26 PM
What is a Q rating? Maybe I'm being stupid. I also don't know what "the casual porn fame" is. Again - am I being dense? Either way, if you haven't caught her movies, you're missing out, and I find it hard to believe that people don't know who she is. She seemed unavoidable (in a good way!).

Like how tori black won and she is very popular. Funny because according to 70% of white girls that dodge, doing interracial will ruin your career. She will prob. be contracted very sooon. good for her.

A 'Q' score is something that measures the 'celebrity' of an person. Think of it as a quantified familiarity of something or someone. Q Score Wiki Its a marketing invention if that tells you how evil it is.
^ Not to mention the guy who brought it (Q ratings) up said the same thing about Kristina Rose: "she's not that popular...no one knows who she is...blah blah blah..." Besides, anyone that uses Hollywood standards, terminology or even logic in comparison to the porn business raises a red flag to me. Just because both industries make movies doesn't make them sisters or even remotely alike. They're not. It's safe to ignore him, I think. I will gladly admit that I've made the mistake of underestimating Tori Black far too often throughout her career. I'm not necessarily going to hop on the bandwagon but evidently, she's got something that the masses simply adore. Congratulations to her. To lack100, it's been proven time and time again, long before now that doing IR will not "ruin your career." This isn't the first instance or evidence to the contrary. In fact, nearly every big winner this year (Tori, Aletta Ocean, Julia Ann) and some of the biggest stars in recent memory (Lisa Ann, Francesca Le, Jenna Haze, Eva Angelina, Hillary Scott, Shyla Stylez, Gianna, Bree Olson, Annette Schwarz, Brianna Love, Avy Scott) have done IR. If anything, that sounds like an incentive to do it. If you notice, it's the girls who are still holding out (we don't have to name names) who are the ones coming up short during awards season. Here's something to ponder: do you think the LACK of IR on her resume is what hurt one of the favorites, Kristina Rose? Edited by - Crucifixio_Jones on 1/10/2010 3:16:02 PM
It questions does AVN really take that into account when they're deciding the winners? It seems that way despite the trolls insistence that AVN ignores black performers as the last few have IR on their resume. well congrats to the winners last night. Glad Sasha won three awards last night. ----Dread----

What I said about Kristina could not apply to another performer as well?
Sure it can. You can apply your crackpot, misinformed theories to as many people as you like. But the fact of the matter is, it's simply not true. You seem to think only the most "popular" performers, in your opinion, have a shot at winning any of the major performance awards. Last night, Tori Black proved you and your assessment of her (and by association, anyone else you didn't seem to think was popular enough i.e. Kristina Rose) wrong. You're free to state your opinion but once it's been shown as not having any validity, I guess you can go ahead and tuck it away. But I'm sure that won't stop you. By the way, is it possible for you to respond to something without quoting the ENTIRE post, including any and all parts that have ZERO to do with what you're replying to? Use what you need, snip the rest (as so many others in this thread have done before you) or don't quote at all. Edited by - Crucifixio_Jones on 1/10/2010 2:41:54 PM
Only someone who feels the need to show how smart he is would bring the "Q" rating up on a porn site. In point of fact, Tori has been a Penthouse pet gaining her a lot of attention and she is consistently rated in the top 20-25 of searches on Freeones. If being the 20th top searched for porn star out of the thousands in the industry means the average fan doesn't know who she is, I'd hate to see how many would search for her if she was even a little well knowm. Hey I heard something about this Jameson chick. I think she's a newbie or something. Anyone know anything about her?

Well I am glad that Tori Aletta Ocean, Lex, Jules Jordan, Sean Michael, Mr.Marcus, Julia Ann won. It show that doing IR will get even more poupler now also forgot to add Savanna Sampson, Sasha Grey, Manuel Ferrara who have done IR too.
Hmmm that is something to think about. I hope not especially considering how Kristina has added anal and dp to her resume since last year. I thought this combined with her great performances made her the natural choice for the award. Personally, I think it's a smart move if Kristina is saving IR for 2010 to bring something new. However, if she did IR in 2009 I can't think of any advantage Tori would have had over her. I'm still happy though Tori is fantastic and I watch her scenes all the time but I just though Kristina would edge her out this time.
Congrats to the winners and I'm glad alot of my choices won but special congrats to Manuel Ferrara. I believe this makes him the all-time winning male POTY at AVN surpassing the 3 wins each by Rocco and Lex.
A lot of the people i wanted to win, won. Yeah! Glad for Tristan Taormino's win in Educational category. Like that Q score was mentioned. Not sure if it or other mainstream measures of popularity are applicable though.

It seems as though all Lex Steele has to do is make Lex the Impaler #5 and no one else needs to even apply themselves in do any hi-quality IR work this year. He has racked up the best IR release with the twp preceding editions of Lex the Impaler :[ No way Lex the Impaler #3 was a better IR release than Evasive Angles' "I fucked my Daughter's best freind #3" No way in the world that Lex the Impaler #4 was any where near as good as Black Ice's Juicy White Butts #4 or West Coast Productions's Black Teen Punishment. No reasonable, objective judge could believe that all Lex has to do is make another edition of his Impaler series in 2010 and it will trump any thing that Black Ice, Justin Slayer International, Evasive Angles or West Coast Productions could possibly come up with. Well, I guess we will have to wait and see won't we?
Keep in mind that the [ invalid url ] series is directed by Jules Jordan and distributed by his Jules Jordan Video, not by Lexington Steele himself or distributed by his Mercenary Pictures. Understanding this will help you to see things in the correct perspective and put the "blame", as it were, in the proper place. Edited by - Crucifixio_Jones on 1/11/2010 5:53:02 PM
I don't think IR is a requirement to winning the award but it hurt Kristina. If she had done IR I'm sure she would have won it. Kristina is very attractive but she is known more for her performances. She is a good performer who always gives her best but I think that "limitation" isn't helping her much. She fits more in the Sasha Grey or Belladonna category than Jenna Jameson, Jesse Jane or Jenna Haze.
Did anyone read Paul Fishbein's review of Tori Black is Pretty Filthy from Sept. 25th? "Tori Black Is Pretty Filthy, her confessional star vehicle, is nothing short of this year’s ultimate gonzo achievement." - AVN Winner, Best Gonzo Release "Tori moves to the top of porn star royalty and emerges as 2009’s archetype of sensuality, beauty and sexual empowerment." - AVN Winner, Female Performer of the Year "Her girl/girl scene with Rebeca Lineras takes a turn for the better when they share the cock of Mark Ashley. Linaras can be seen choking Black as she gets fucked and the scene gets so intense that after they share his jizz, the girls continue fucking each other. For my money, it’s the best sex scene of the year." - AVN Winner, Best Threeway Sex Scene I'm just sayin...
^ Someone else pointed that out to me, as well. I haven't read an AVN review in years but once I read that one, it all came together for me. I figure once you've got the president and founder of AVN on your side, who can be against you?Possibly. Also of particular note is that, Alexis Texas, who experienced one of the best performance years of her short career, was snubbed ENTIRELY when it came to a Female Performer of the Year nomination. Did it hurt her as well? [Link]
Not one award to Jenna Haze? Wow. Jules Jordan Video sure cleaned up though. And my God can they add a few more useless categories? Most Clever Title? Are you serious? How about Best Enema Preparation Off-Camera for an Anal Scene?
To go a step further...it just so happens that Tori Black has also actually performed a higher percentage of IR scenes than any previous FPOTY winner. Performer Name, The Year They Won Female Performer of the Year, Number of Movies Performed IR In out of Total Movies, Percentage of Performances Which Were IR Tori Black, 2010, 33 of 157, 21% Lauren Phoenix, 2005, 62 of 406, 15.2% Ashley Blue, 2004, 45 of 330, 13.6% Hillary Scott, 2007, 60 of 481, 12.5% Sasha Grey, 2008, 22 of 203, 11% Aurora Snow, 2003, 45 of 491, 9% Inari Vachs, 2000, 31 of 366, 8.5% Jewel DeNyle, 2001, 21 of 257, 8.2% Jenna Haze, 2009, 12 of 489, 2.5% Audrey Hollander, 2006, 6 of 297, 2% all data courtesty of IAFD [Link]
It's certainly something to think about and all but KILLS that pesky rumor of IR somehow damaging a performer's popularity. It's hard to argue against the concrete evidence that's been presented thus far. By the way, I'm the last person in the world who would try to derail this thread and make it yet another IR debate. This topic should remain about the results of the show but it is an interesting tangent when you take into consideration what people think "it takes to win." Edited by - Crucifixio_Jones on 1/11/2010 11:58:13 PM
According to this data, though, you only need a "little" black dick in you to qualify. Which might lead to some discussion of "tokenism." Or is this the porn version of "one drop"?
As much as I like porn, (and why the hell else would I be posting on ADT), it just seems incredibly absurd to me to be having a discussion about the political correctness of interracial scenes. In an industry where such titles as "Cum Fart Cocktails", or "Rim My Gape" are celebrated, it just seems ridiculous to me that people are debating whether it's wrong for a chick to not have sex with black dudes.
CJ - Is there any reason you left out Nikita Denise FPOTY 2002? She was performing IR at the time she won the award. 18 of 361 titles - 5%. You could go even further back if you take into consideration that they performed IR at the time of their win - Chloe in 1999, Stephanie Swift in 1998, Missy in 1997. The last woman to win FPOTY who never performed IR was Kaitlyn Ashley way the hell back in 1996. This little revelation should help tremendously with AVN predictions next year. :) Skronker - I was curious about this too. I suppose that's why they created "Contract Performer of the Year" which disappeared after one year. ?? Stephanie Swift went under contract to Wicked Pictures in 1997 and won the award for 1998. I don't know when she signed in 1997, but I think she was under contract with Elegant Angel before that. So she's my guess as last contract performer to win POTY.
Nice. The trend shows a steady increase and then this year a sharp spike just like when Jewel won. Tori has less than half the scenes of most on the list yet has done more IR than almost everyone. I appreciate that about Tori. She really is incredibly beautiful and could have listened to the people that say avoid IR and still have a great career. Plus its obvious that she really enjoys black guys b/c she really doesn't seem like the type to let others dictate her actions. The debate on whether IR hurts your career is officially over.
It seems Asia Carrera in 1995 was the last and basically only one from Vivid that got the FPOTY. I think Asia won with her beauty b/c her performances were mostly meh. Even Rocco couldn't push her to her limits. The Vivid girls that I thought brought the performance (i.e. Ginger Lynn, Taylor Hayes, Savanna Samson, Kobe Tai, Briana Banks, Julia Ann(in recent years especially)) never won in the 90s. Maybe they were ahead of their time as true gonzo girls in a time of feature porn? Looks like gonzo boomed at AVN about 1999 onward. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avn_awards Edited by - Seijuro on 1/12/2010 11:08:09 AM
I can't say I agree with Julia Ann being lopped in with those girls. She definitely fucked like a feature girl when she was one. Now that she's gonzo, she fucks like a gonzo girl. She is fuck appropriate.
The list is in order by highest percentage, not chronologically. There doesn't seem to be a trend (other than they all performed IR at the time of their win). Plus, the numbers are far from perfect. Just seem to be some rough calculations to prove a point.
Nope. No real reason. I included her when I did the whole raw data/rough calculations but somehow when I transferred it from WordPad to actually post a reply, she got left off. Sorry about that and thanks for catching it. I definitely had her in the mix: 00 Inari Vachs 31 of 366, 8.5% 01 Jewel DeNyle 21 of 257, 8.2% 02 Nikita Denise 18 of 361, 5% 03 Aurora Snow 45 of 491, 9% 04 Ashley Blue 45 of 330, 13.6% 05 Lauren Phoenix 62 of 406, 15.2% 06 Audrey Hollander 6 or 297, 2% 07 Hillary Scott 60 of 481, 12.5% 08 Sasha Grey 22 of 203, 11% 09 Jenna Haze 12 of 489, 2.5% 10 Tori Black 33 of 157, 21% [Link]
Note to The Mac, Not sure what AVN Award nominees list you are looking at but there were a number of standout black performances recognized for the 2010 AVN Awards including Misty Stone for Best Supporting Actress-Flight Attendants. Misty Stone for Female Performer of the Year. Thomas Ward for Best Non-sex Performance as Cliff Huxtable in Not the Cosbys XXX (BTW he won) and also a win for Best Parody for Not the Cosbys XXX that has a mostly black cast. The popular website Xcritic.com had this to say about the movie. “We consider Not the Cosbys XXX the best porn movie of 2009 period. Not only is this landmark porn parody significant as an example of the best of the best in porn parodies, but it's also the first time a porn with a predominantly black cast has broken through to such acclaim and award.” Now I'm not saying anything about the movie because some of you like it and some don't but AVN's voters picked it as Best Parody so I don't see how your argument of no black people winning or being nominated holds water. I seem to remember Alexander DeVoe getting up on stage looking dapper as usual. I am proud as hell of my cast (blacks, whites, Asians and Latinas that make up Not the Cosbys XXX)and I am thrilled to see this interracial movie recognized by so many as being an award-winner.

I'm guessing that the fact that you put a black man in a porno movie and didn't even let him get his dick wet isn't going to get you very far with The Mac.
