I guess if your definition of a crossover performer is anyone that's done anything for any mainstream studio then I guess Judy falls under that category but I think you will find that you are rather alone in your definition of mainstream crossover. I'd also like to add that she didn't realy take any risk since her only real film role was in 97 where she participated in softcore sex scenes. All her other stuff are either short films or bit parts on a couple of tv shows and one recent movie role that IMDB describes as women getting into shower. No Kay isn't a crossover anything since she is a writer working for porn studios . Now that doesn't mean that she doesn't also work for many mainstream studios as well but she wouldnt be the first person behind the scene doing that. Los Angeles is a pretty small place and many people work both within the adult industry and the mainstream one. The difference is that these are all people working bhind the scene so yo never hear about them.

The way Lindsay is aging -- rapidly and not well -- is quickly bringing her stroke-value days to an end. Five years from now she'll either look like a meth-addict or be dead. It's staggering the career she's thrown away.

On the contrary, my definition of a crossover fits in with the OPs definition:IMDb doesn't tell you everything, although the bio they have for Judy Thompson is quite informative. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0860353/bio it tells you that she has "starred in over 20 independent films," - that she has done theater (including a lead role in a play by Christopher Durang - and has " modeling and commercial credits" She has played the lead role in two porn movies. It doesn't matter that they're "non-sex" roles because Cherry 1 & 2 are most definitely porn movies, not mainstream movies. So that is most definitely a case of "crossing over".
Kay Brandt isn't just a writer. She's an award winning adult movie director. And in my book it isn't only performers who crossover. In this context, crossing over is about working in an industry that the vast majority of people consider "legitimate" and then working in an industry that many people think is not only "not legitimate" but should actually be illegal. Can you imagine anyone in mainstream winning an Emmy or an Oscar etc and their family doesn't know?
Although I wouldn't be suprise to see Lindsday do some porn. I serioulsy doubt that she will be any good. If her acting talent in the recent stuff she has done is any indication than she won't be any good except at screaming and being an asshole to everyone involved.

One of the problems with explicit sex in Art House movies is that for some reason, they go to great lengths to make it anything other than arousing. (A quick google search will turn up the scene if you doubt me.)
Still, I would say she has a nice body. This set was taken when she was 31.

She didn't seem perturbed by how mainstream audiences reacted to the blowjob scene, and she has continued to push boundaries. In one scene, she appeared nude wearing a fake penis (or two).

I never knew of her until she came into porn, but I've been very impressed, and I'm hoping that as time unfolds other B-level Hollywood starlets will follow her lead.
Yeah. Maitland is great. I had not heard of her until recently. I've only seen two scenes so far and was well impressed. One night, out of curiousity, I checked out Boy Meets World as it's available on Disney+. Maitland plays the role of the sexy room-mate of two college guys and she does a fine job but I found the show itself to be unfunny and painful to watch.
