Woohoo! I've got the first review on ADT EVER!
I only own two pornographic DVDs (both purchased for the articles of course), but I figured I may as well post some reviews to kick off the site.
The first review:
<H2>Dyanna Presents Interactive Sex Splash</H2>
General Description:
This is one wacky DVD. The cover describes the disc pretty well: "You select the girl - you select the environment - you select the sexual position - you select the angle of the action!" The idea behind this disc is to let you choose from two women who perform various sex acts on you. They talk directly to "you" (the screen), and they use stand-ins for your various... uh, appendages. The action takes place from your virtual perspective. Pun intended, this is the pr0n version of a "first-person shooter."
First, you select which woman you want: Violet or Shay. IMO, Shay is just plain ANNOYING, so try Violet first. Then you choose one of three scenarios, like Bubble Bath, Bedroom Fun, or Foot Worship (seriously!) You'll see a 10-second or so introduction to the scene by the woman, and then you will be presented with six different options, depending on what kind of action you want - ranging from nudity to hardcore stuff. It's a pretty clever idea... yet another example of pr0n pushing technology, I have to point out...
Video Quality:
No complaints here. Some of the scenes are crystal-clear. Both the women are hot (although Shay is rather annoying, as I mentioned.)
Audio Quality:
Oh, come on - it's pr0n! Okay, the disc features a 5.1 DD soundtrack, with music during most of the animated menus and such. Otherwise, it's a pretty limited soundtrack - mostly just the woman talking to you and such - but it seems clear to me. English only, no subtitles.
Disc Presentation:
Aside from the large selection of options mentioned above, this disc also features a five-minute blooper track, two "montages" (just a couple extra scenes), a "Dark Room" slideshow (the only place you actually see Dyanna naked, oddly), a link to the Vivid DVD web site, and "Dyanna's Final Words" (a minute-long "goodbye" track.)
Some of the scenes use the Angle button. A few times, when you're watching the scene, a few alternate angles pop up in the corners of the screen. You can swap in a different angle. (Caveat: The soundtrack usually only fits one angle... just a minor detail.)
Finally, the opposite side has what seems to be a Vivid DVD standard: a few miscellaneous sex scenes. Quality varies - your mileage may vary - skippable, in my opinion.
Overall Rating:
Quite an original disc and concept. I think it works pretty well, and I hope Dyanna produces more of these (maybe featuring herself!)
