The Plot: Well, it's pretty typical for this kind of film. Our heroine, Jane (Tia Bella), is an assistant video editor to Mitch (James Bonn). What do they work on? Pornos, of course! Alas, Jane is a bit too uptight to really get into her work. Well, when she wanders off alone, she finds herself living out the scenes she's been editing, and gradually loses her inhibitions. There is a bit of a subplot with new roommate (Barett Moore) and her uninhibited ways (setting a good example is important for today's uptight video editors). Finally, our hero gets her to contact his old roommate, whereupon he walks in on the two of them. A threesome results (naturally), much to the delight of the passerbys. Did I mention the threesome was in a courtyard?
The Cast: Okay, I have to admit, Tia Bella's got a nice body. Great skin, big breasts, and a wonderful smile. In fact, she's a pretty good actress. I kid you not, some of her dialogue with James Bonn is relaxed, natural, and doesn't even sound rehearsed (much). When the clothes come off, she has an annoying habbit of baring her teeth like a racehorse. I sometimes think she's not only enjoying the sex, but she wants you to check for cavities, too. James Bonn puts in a good performance here as well. His dialogue is delivered well, his expressions are animated... he looks like he's having a great time. He only has once scene at the end, and I find nothing good or bad about it.
Okay, I have a new name to add to my watch list. Barett Moore. She has two scenes in this film. The first one, she is masturbating to some hunk on television (whom we don't get to see, thankfully). She talks to the screen, and as silly as the dialogue is, she doesn't make it look ridiculous. Points for her acting ability, too. Her second scene has her and her boyfriend (Nick East) getting kinky. They decide that Jane is too uptight (go figure) and needs some entertainment. So they proceed to fuck in her room, with Jane watching. I'm not exactly sure why, but I like it. I think it has to do with Barett actually looking like she's enjoying herself. They start slow, and she looks like she's getting some good sensations. They go faster, and she looks like shes get great sensations. I prefer this to the "Squeek Squeek" noises some actresses get whenever someone comes close to their pubic area. Tia Bella watches from the sidelines and masturbates (good thinking). As the two on the bed get hot and heavy, she loses more clothing and gets more involved in the show. During one cut to her activites, a dildo appears seemingly from nowhere (hey, everybody needs a superpower). Anyway, I loved this scene.
Syndee Steele and Elle Devyne have a three-way lesbian scene with Tia Bella that was surprisingly good. Bring on the double headed dildo of doom! These two make good use of it. It's in a church, and I don't think they're ever going to get some of the keys on that pipe organ unstuck. There's a bondage scene between Claudia and Billy Glide. Actually, it's not really special, and to be frank, is the worst scene in the film, IMHO. It's not bad by any means, but it's a solid middle-of-the-road. Our final scene introduces Mitch's roommate, Newton (T.J. Heart). Since Newton & Jane have somehow jumped into the movie they've been editing, they get to have a lesbian lickfest in the courtyard of something with a lot of stonework. They invite Mitch to join them (after a suitable delay. You can't rush some things...) who pops into the courtyard for our final three-way between James Bonn, Tia Bella and T. J. Heart. Ah... life is good... almost.
The Extras: We have 18 previews, a showcase of 3 AVN awards (complete with highlights of the scenes), a link to the WWW, Meet The Girs segments, and the Dungeon VR thingy they call "Bad Girls" that gives you about two minutes of sex from various movies. Kobe Tai does her little "find the funky objects around the room and I'll do what you want" trick, plus another version of the same thing, but with various bits of video (some spotlight certain girls, one is the Vivid montage "There is no Girl Like a Vivd Girl" and various others. Bunches of stuff.
The Image: Pretty good. Nothing spectacular, and no annoying or distracting artifacts. No scratches, grain or dirt, except on some of the previews.
The Good: Okay, the music for this film is great. Much better than your typical bad 80's syntho-beat. The composer is Vladimir Shostakovich, and he does a nice job. It's not always in syncy or appropriate to the action, but I'll take it any day over your typical pornotrack. Most of the sex is great in this film, and everyone looks like they're having a great time. The sex is gentle when it needs to be, and gets going at the appropriate time. And I still can't get over Barett Moore.
The Bad: I may seem a little clueless here, but does our leading lady (Tia Bella) ever do guys? She certainly doesn't in this film. The closest she gets is helping James Bonn out with a handjob as he's working on T. J. Heart. Pity. I was really hoping to see her get the old meat injection. The typical Vivid airport hangar lobby virtual interface is here. Gaaargh! C'mon, people! A simple menue interface would be great, thank you. On top of that, you have the same dungeon VR thingy twice, on each side of the disc. Sigh...
Overall: This one is worth a look-see. The music is great, the people are beautiful, and the sex is pretty hot. Yeah, the plot is weak, but it is delivered well. I think I'm going to keep this one.
