I have seen this movie on VHS and want to purchase the DVD.
I would like to hear from you, if you have watched this movie on DVD. Any comment wrt picture quality? sound quality?
Thanks for your input.

I'm not sure about this particular title two other Centaur titles (Time Cops and Insatiable) have given me annoyiong compatability issues with my Toshiba player AND my Creative DVD-Rom. once I actually got them to play the video quality was very muddy looking .. so I would susopect "Mountain Patrol" might have the same issues

Thank you Hobbesi for the post. Don't you all think we should write to Centaur Film to complain the issue of poor DVD transfer quality?! If they don't know how to convert the images to DVD format in a professional way, they should just ask some expert to do that job, some of the movies are really hot and good, what a waste to have a DVD that have no collection value!
We should also let the French Cadinot studio know that all their master pieces are in such a poor DVD quality, they should stop giving Chip Daniel the exclusive right to release their films both in VHS and DVD format. I have noticed that the recent Cadinot films released by Centaur such as "Insatiable" and "Street Boyz" have very poor image qualities in VHS. Now DVD caught the same flu. I just don't expect that all the beautiful French boys can give you are just blur-jobs.

I just emailed Centaur and sent them links to this discussion as well as the one about Time Cops being censored. I actually got this email back the same day:
----------------------------------------
Thank you very much for forwarding the comments about our DVD's to us. We
are particularly concerned about any quality issues. We know some buyers
were disappointed about the double penetration scene being removed from the
DVD version of "Time Cops," as it was from the in-store VHS version.
We're forwarding the quality comments to our DVD authoring company, Future
Works Unlimited, for their comments and input.
Please feel free to keep us advised of any other comments, pro or con.

So send them your concerns. Sounds like they may really be listening.

Nice job, Joe! They should just contract the DVD authorizing work to Atomic Videos. The Future Works Unlimited is simply not qualified to do such a professional job.
I also wrote Cadinot Studio and haven't got anything back from them yet. But it looks like their new web site is no longer showing a special partnership with Centaur Film, I am not sure though. They are also going to release their own DVDs. That's a good news.
