Most of us here are familiar with the terms
Cowgirl and
Reverse Cowgirl . We frequently use the abbreviations "CG" and "RCG" to indicate the presence of these particular sex positions in scenes and reviews.
My understanding of these positions is:
Cowgirl
Stud is lying down or sitting.
Girl mounts stud's cock so that the actors are facing each other.
Girl rides stud like a "cowgirl" on a bucking bronco.
Typically, this is shot with the girl's back to the camera.
Reverse Cowgirl
Stud is lying down or sitting.
Girl mounts stud's cock so that she is facing away from the stud (i.e. her back is towards his face).
Girl rides stud like a "cowgirl in reverse" on a bucking bronco.
Typically, this is shot with the girl's front to the camera.
With the recent explosion of POV titles, I've just realized that these terms may be open to interpretation.
In POV, when the girl is facing the camera (what we have become used to as "Reverse Cowgirl"), the performers themselves are actually facing each other (as in my definition of traditional "Cowgirl" above).
In POV, when the girl is facing away from the camera (what we have become used to as "Cowgirl"), the performers themselves are actually facing away from each other (as in my definition of traditional "Reverse Cowgirl" above).
I raise this issue because fans of the positions specifically like them because:
(a) they want to look at the girl's face and bouncing tits while she rides the stud
AND/OR
(b) they want to watch the girl's booty being split while she rides the stud.
So, should we classify and distinguish "Cowgirl" and "Reverse Cowgirl" based on:
(a) the girl's orientation to the camera
OR
(b) the traditional interpretation based on the performer's physical orientation to each other (regardless of which angle the action is shot from)?
