I understand your frustration about what you see as an unreasonable limit to free speech. But the government has well-recognized (and I think proper) right to limit speech when there is a compelling interest. For instance, the government has a compelling interest in limiting criminal activity. Therefore, you can't advertise criminal services, nor can you discuss how to hire people to commit crimes. (I doubt you would argue that we should be free to discuss how hire an arsonist.)

The problem is not the limit on free speech, the problem is treating sex work as criminal activity.

Whoever posted the ads was engaging in criminal activity. While I don't believe that sex work should be considered criminal, I think it's proper to treat fraud as a crime, and I suspect that the people who posted those ads can properly be considered criminals.

If Lena Paul doesn't like the fact there is pay disparity between IR and non-IR scenes why doesn't she rectify that by asking the studios (who often parrot this talking point she's promoting here) to pay her MORE so that her non-IR scene fee is equal to her IR scene fee? That would "equalize" things just the same and correct this perceived "evil" just the same, right? So how come I've never heard of a studio offering to such a thing? And if Lena really wants to be the martyr, sacrificing her own pay for her SJW ideals, then why doesn't she fully commit? Why not demand that her fee for doing a scene never exceed what an ugly girl would be paid to do the same scene? Why not demand her fee never exceed the rate that would be paid to a star in her 50's? Why not demand that she never be paid more than what a fat girl with skin would be paid?

Performers are taken advantage enough in this industry without adopting goofy "beliefs" that cause them to screw themselves over. Get paid what you deserve. Willingly work for less and you are nothing but a chump. And if anybody in the industry gives you crap about it ask them why this SJW tax should be paid by the performer and not the studios and producers who make way more money. Ask yourself why, as they pat Lena Paul on the head for being such good girl, they've never ever offered to pay it themselves.

Do you know what studies have shown to be the #1 factor in the existence of the gender gap is? Men ask for raises more. It is that simple. You'd be getting minimum wage if they get away with it. Nobody should be selling themselves short in the workplace, especially not women, and most especially not women in an industry that doesn't exactly have the reputation for treating its talent with dignity and respect.

You do realize that female (and male) performers raise their general rates (as in not just for a specific act, for all their scenes) on a fairly regular basis? And that for the most part, that whole process is a simple calculation between how many scenes you're willing to shoot, and how many scenes you can actually book at that scene rate? The idea that you're leaving money on the table if you aren't charging the highest amount for every scene possible ignores the possibility that at a lower rate, you may shoot more scenes because more companies are willing to book you (and again, that's if you're not already shooting the amount of scenes you're willing to shoot in a given time period). Financially speaking, if you're already shooting all the scenes you want (and having to turn down scenes), then yeah, go ahead and raise your rates, because it'll still probably be worth it. But the danger in it, generally speaking, is raising your rate and ending up with less money because less companies are willing to book you, period. It's not anywhere near as simple as you seem to think it is.

And that ignores all the tangential ass "SJW bullshit" you decided to inject into the argument, because that's what it is, bullshit that's unrelated to the core argument.
