I was a big fan of Viper and was still buying old stuff specifically because she was in it. She was a great performer that I never felt got her due because of the era of porn she was in. I would go so far as to say that Viper was not only a proto Alt-Queen, but also to some extent a proto Gonzo Queen, along with Janey Robbins and Debi Diamond. Viper was a true Hall of Famer, even without Margold's promotion of her legend, she was a True Star. I hop that she found some contentment and purpose in her post-porn life, and that she she now has found eternal peace and happiness.

I didn't come to know about her until long after she had stopped performing. As I started to watch her scenes I was always amazed & excited by her raw intensity. What a hot, nasty lady. She will always be one of my favorites. RIP.

Must have been circa 1989 or 1990, I saw the video, "Born to be Wild" at a porno theater. An otherwise forgettable movie made indelibly memorable because of Viper's scene. She scared me and excited me. I made a point to seek it out at the video rental so I could properly enjoy it in private. Fast forwarded through most of it, but watched her scene twice before returning it. My condolences to her family.
