Cube,

I am not sure but they will sell them for more money in Germany than if you would buy the originals.

So what have I won? They might even synchronize them to German sound. Oh my god! That would be a nightmare!

I much rather stay with the right stuff!

I'm sure they will also remove all the extras and stuff like that, the same thing Shiva is doing here in Holland with movies from Evil Angel and Red Light District among others.

Buy the original versions, it's better that way.

Yeah, but Shiva also removed the watermark from Flesh Hunter 4 .

btw, the few Shiva DVD's I have seen thus far, seem to have plenty of extra's. The bonus scene of Daphny in Beautiful Girls 8 for instance is still there. (IMO, the best scene of the entire DVD.) They also have the fetish menu and the massive amounts of chapter stops.

How did they to this and were they allow to do this? Maybe Shiva got the original verson from Evil Angel, without the watermark.
But they didn't include the extra footage in some Buttman movies and this is the reason why I buy movied directly from the US eventhough it's a little more expensive. I also read that there's a little quality lost when they do the transfer.

Hmm, probably badly worded on my part. I don't know if Shiva removed the watermark. I only noticed it wasn't there.
(That is a funny expression, isn't it? Noticing something that isn't there.)
The transfer looked pretty good to me. Of course, I can't compare, since I have never seen an orginal Evil Angel DVD.
All of the Shiva discs I have seen thus far do create some problmes though in my Phillips DVD recorder. They load very slowly, and sometimes only after trying 3-4 times. And they sometimes freeze for a second.

I'm sure Evil Angel sold Shiva the original version without the watermark because I don't think Shiva is allowed to remove any copyright sign from a movie.

Btw, I also have a Philips DVD player (951) but so far no problem with Shiva DVD's, I own like 10 of them.

We are talking about DVDs right. Wouldn't that mean that there are multiple languages on the disc from which to choose from?
I would be worried more about the length of the feature. It wouldn't be the first time that a German company has reduced a 140 minute feature to a 90 minute run time.

Hi Walter,
I´m not familiar with Magmas DVD releases. My guess is they release their "own" stuff to DVD everything else they "buy" goes to VHS only (?)
