I know I have raised this issue before but, yesterday I was watching "cum in my ass not my mouth" and was disappointed with what I sawin regards to the production qualities. In watching the bonus scene featuring Jackie Moore the picture quality was so bad that the pixels kept on breaking up making the scene unwatchable. Also there were website ads throughout the BTS. I know that I have crticised RLD in the past, but had hoped they would get the act together as they usually produce quality discs.
I know Dion stated in an earlier posting that the website advertising during bonus and BTS segments would stop. this has not occurred. Why I don't know...Also my advise to RLD is drop the trailers, website advertising to dedicate more disc space to improving the picture quality.
I the problem I have know is that I bought 12 new RLD discs to watch and if the others are as bad as this first disc, then I have just wasted a lot of money as I don't get a refund.
Question for other viewers is as too whether they have experienced similar problems with RLD discs or I am being just too crtical of them. I haven't recently bought from other studios so I can't comment on rival studio production qualities. I will hold off buying RLD discs till the rectify the problems.

Hey, how's it going,

Honestly, I have never had a problem with the actual quality of a Red Light DVD. Well, some of their earlier discs like "Young Tight Latinas" were not good but since they really got going I have not seen any problems. That's just me.

Yeah, their DVDs do vary in picture quality. Some has sharper pictures than others. I don't know if it's due to the type of cameras used to capture the scenes or the DVD transfers themselves. It's unfortunate for me but I hope they'll improve the picture quality in the future. I hope it's not the number of release that's making them cut some corners. Just to say that all DVDs of Anabolic/Diabolic I own have far better pictures than Redlight's DVDs, so's Evil Angel. There's my input on that topic.

I've never really noticed a PQ problem with RLD but I do not own all of their titles and I don't have "Cum in my ass...".
I have had compatibilty problems with some earlier RLD releases and my DVD player(s). I've had more compatibilty issues with RLD discs than any other studio.

I have noticed compression artifacts on most of the RLD discs I have seen. Sometimes pretty bad, for example "Young Ripe Mellons #1" exhibits this problem throughout the disc. There's a pretty bad scene on YRM #2, with Audree James, where the whole screen is filled with pixellation when the camara draws back from a couch as she is getting off of it to kneel down. Scenes with abrupt movement have to be authored carefully and this one just falls apart for a couple of seconds. This whole disc has a lot of "shimmer" in many scenes.

What's so discouraging about this is that RLD tends to be very good at the techincal details of lighting, videography, makeup, direction, etc., so that when the DVD authoring is poor and problems like these intrude on the image, it's usually a very good image that is being compromised.

I don't know if this is from putting too much material on the disc (over 20 trailers sometimes!) or just poor DVD authoring. It seems that the process of DVD authoring (about which I know nothing) is as much art as science at this stage of its development. I don't know whether this is a cost cutting issue or difficulty in finding a capable DVD authoring facility. Either way, if they could beat this problem, just about everything else about their releases is top notch.

It seems to me that the picture quality in new RLD releases differ from movie to movie. Sometimes you have the fortune to get a DVD with very good picture quality, sometimes you get a movie like "cum in my ass not in my mouth", in which the pixelation is so strong and disturbing, that you can't really enjoy the whole scene (Jackie Moore Bonus Scene in "cum in my ass ...").

From the last 3 DVDs I've purchased from them, one had good quality (Semen Sippers), one was hard on the limit (Sport Fucking) and one was so bad, that I can't really enjoy the movie (Cum In My Ass). Looks like the longer the movie and the extras, the worse the picture quality.

I've for me decided not to buy any RLD DVD until I've read here or somewhere else that the problem with the video quality is solved. There are other good companies out there, Dion!

Last week I watched RLD's "My Girlfriends Cock" and the bonus footage of the girls masturbating had some of the most HORRIBLE pixelation and artifact I've ever seen. It was really bad. The rest of the movie wasn't as bad as far as picture quality goes, but still not very good.
