I would be interested in seeing a more character-driven movie rather than an attempt to tricky subplots of what is "real" and what is "imagined" which have been played out in mainstream movies like The Game, Total Recall, Matrix or Vanilla Sky and adult films like No Limits. The endings for these movies are telegraphed a mile away.

Penny Flame is the lead and does three sex scenes. She looks great with dark hair and a little black dress that shows off her cleavage to a great extent. A highlight/lowlight of Penny's scenes were the strappy high heels that she wore. They did a great job of accenting her calves when she walked, but it looked kind of awkward during the sex scenes because the top part of the straps remain tied around her ankle, but the soles were dangling and completely loose.

Hillary Scott appears in four hetero scenes looking the innocent school girl. While this is an obviously popular fetish, Avalon did a good job having her and Alicia Alighatti always stand adjacent to Spears' character which added an edge to their appearances. Hillary didn't have (m)any lines and was quite almost Tarantino-esque (Gogo Yubari in Kill Bill Vol 1) in her performance.

Alicia Alighatti joins Hillary for the three of her sex scenes. IMHO, Alicia stole the spotlight in the first shared scene doing a spectacular job of taking a closed-mouth pop from Randy Spears and doing a swap with Hillary that she swallows. I especially enjoyed the way Hillary performed in her second of three scenes she did with Alicia, especially the manner in which she prepared to sit on Randy Spears' cock and swallowing a huge load from a dick that had just been in Dillan Lauren's ass

There are about three interesting cameos. One of my all-time favorites Sandra Shine, who I didn't even recognize until the credits rolled, plays a dancing go-go girl covered entirely in blue paint. Big breasted cutie Devin Valencia plays an exotic dancer, but is credited as Amy Ried (sic). She made a brief appearance (less than 30 seconds), but the behind-the-scenes had Hillary mention that she wish she had a cock so she could titty fuck her. There was a brief appearance by a blonde in the third "erotic shock therapy scene" in a nurse's uniform and an eye patch that looked like Ashley Long, but was uncredited, but I'm really curious to know who she is.

The fourth scene is a b/g with Hillary and Alicia and their respective partners. The fifth scene featured Sunny Lane as a cheerleader and Kelly Wells with a retro-fifties look. I really wanted to see the hot newbie Sunny Lane scene so I will have to give some serious consideration to buying this title to evaluate her abilities properly. The last scene featured multiple performances including Penny Lane in a one-on-one scene at a strip club (though I wouldn't classify it as an orgy).

All of the sex scenes were MUCH longer and more hard core than what you would normally expect in a feature. The film clocks in at almost three hours and I only watched the first three scenes in depth (and the last) before I had to return it. All the sexual performances were sandwiched with short scenes of dialogue. Considering how tepid most features are (of course, I'm talking about Vivid as the primary suspect), this was refreshing reversal from typical adult films. The production values were pretty high. From what I saw of the trailers, the features will focus on a single "look." This one clearly was the Wall-Street-power-broker-meets-Mafia-hoodlum look. The next two, based on the trailers included the second disc, focus on erotic photography and the old West. I wouldn't be surprised if Red Light District gives Digital Playground and Wicked a run for their in money and create a whole new market - Raincoater Features!
