What's the deal with this studio? I mean, other than the bareback fetish, which I personally find repugnant.

From Buck Angel's blog (4/18/06 entry):

I don't s'pose there's anyone here familiar with this situation who can address it? I wanted to review more of Buck's series with Robert Hill, but he's one of my favorite stars, and if he's not happy, I'm not happy.

Interesting news, had no idea as I just bought Lesbian Assholes 2 from Robrt Hill Prod., but I certainly don't wish to support someone is shady or sketchy. The girls featured in the title are quite pretty, however... :)

Business ethics aside, I've heard mixed comments about the quality of Robert Hill's product. When it's good, it's supposedly quite good. Unfortunately, I've seen and reviewed only the one movie, which was not good. I was going to give the series another chance, however, since the person in charge of the first volume left Robert Hill not long after the shoot.

I'm planning to place an order within the next two weeks. I think I'll just buy Allanah Starr's Big Boob Adventures from Avalon until this other situation at Robert Hill gets resolved, one way or the other.

I am one of the not so satisfied customers of some of Robert Hill DVDs. The quality on them was down right horrid. It was as if the dvd were burnt off a VHS tape that had been sitting around for sometime.
I cant speak for all of his titles but the ones i happend to rent online were enough to stop me from wanting to chance anymore on their product.

The little I've seen of them was not impressive. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw they were releasing Axel Braun's "Lord of the Squirt". The only way I can think of Axel doing a movie for them involves them having some incriminating photos of him.

I don't know anything for certain, but, since a lot of the material released under the Robert Hill name is clearly wholly Latin American produced, my strong suspicion is that Robert Hill buys in a much of their stuff from Brazil (or wherever) and then simply repackages it for the North American market, and that only a fraction of their releases are actually made in-house. This would go someway to explaining the variable quality of their product. And, if they are actually a much smaller operation in terms of original productions than the number of titles they have might suggest, then that would, I think, go someway to explaining the sort of difficulties Buck Angel is having
